Since early on this year i have been drinking RED WINE and WHITE WINE..Now most of the RED is very palatable but i am NO expert.I just have a wander round the supermarket, read the bottle labels and then purchase at 3 -5 quid a time.Strange but i never havebeen that much of a WINE merchant.I think it goes rather well with a bit of INTERNET activity. What strange habits have you picked up since NOOL'ing. On the wine front what do YOU like and WHY? Excuse me whilst a get another GLASS.

So no WHINING just WINING please.

This thread is sponsored by a nice ITALIAN.

Please don't tell  the  DHSS  cos they frown on  WINING AND dining,NOT  WORKING

AND Earning.

You need the odd bottle just to KEEP YOUR BOTTLE.

Ps my milkman does a nice WHITE!

A cheeky 1951 Grange Hermitage from Australia's Penfolds should do the trick, RM - at around $AU 30K per bottle...

But the Tyrrells Long Flat Red, at 1/3800th the price, is still not the worst red you can buy - not sure of the UK availability though...

Concha Y Toro from Chile Merlot or Chardonay (I dont know what this means - I just read it from the label)

That's good shit & cheep (I got 3 bottles for 20 euro in Tescos)

All Red gives me a hangover tho':\ohwell:

French is a bit too inconsistent for my liking unless you pay through the nose. The reds from Australia are good but generally too strong and too full of flavour, like Ribena when its insufficiently diluted.

My recommendation Mick is Spanish - but avoid the Rioja, nice as it is, more value for money with a Navarra.

It's incredible how argentines and britishes don't like cars and driving.

I'm pretty sure Jack Stewart was german and Fangio was paraguaian :evil4:

vino di tavolo - the best for me, and spanish as well. I can drink it every day, taste like an orangeade and thats the point. A french wine is too hard for me, too fookin exclusive, but there is an excellent white bordoux. You can also try the wine from Bugaria or Romania if you can buy.
