I know a lot of people on here hate U2, but I find it hard to believe I'm the only one going to a U2 show on this message board. Especially when their shows are getting sold out in minutes. As I said previously, I've got floor tickets for the Dallas show in October.

Where the fuck are they playing? I live within 4 hours drive time between 3 major US cities--Chicago, Minneapolis and Kansas City. Illinois voted for Kerry thus meeting the U2's racial/political purity mandate for touring. Minnesota is pretty liberal and I think they are a Blue State. I do not know of anyone going to U2 other than you.
Then again our radio waves are raped by rap/hip-hop/shit and/or extreme metal and U2 is not getting airplay other than the I-Pod comercial.
I have tickets for The Killers in Omaha and Davenport in May. Next week I am taking Mrs. Twist to see Duran Duran.
Me bad. They are playing all over the States generally in the north, mostly in the fall and winter. Three dates in Boston?!?!?!? If I was so inclined I could see them in Omaha (2 hour drive), Minneapolis (3.5 hour drive) or Milwaukee (4ish hour drive) or even St Louis (have no clue how long but inlaws make this trip every so often).
They have six Canadian dates for those up north pissed at NO.

Possibly..........maybe..........definitely wouldn't pay what the brokers would ask for them, that's for sure. My brother might spring for a ticket for me, that'd be nice, it also depends on who would open for Bongo & Co. (P.J. Harvey was great on Elevation, and Bongo was in a somber mood, that being the day Joey Ramone passed away).
I like some of their songs just fine, I avoid the extraneous stuff as much as I can.
However, the fiasco over the online presale has soured a lot of people on the band, who have to take some of the blame on what's being done on their behalf.
I wouldn't go see them if they were playing in my front garden. It would be a case of New Order on the stereo, headphones on & curtains shut.
And have 'em for trespassing & noise pollution.
I managed to buy two tickets for the Brussels show. Now, the question is: shall I go to see them or shall I sell the tickets and make an appreciable profit?
From about 40 to about 130 euro, in function of the category. 10x more expensive on the illegal market.
I got 2 General Admission tickets for around $50 USD each. Which is a pretty good price considering I'll be right up at the stage.
I've seen U2, and I'd go to see 'em again, but if I had to choose only one show to go to this year, I'd choose New Order, because I've never seen them... and it looks like I never will, unless I find a way to buy a ticket and get to a show.
