It comes to us all, however it is sad news if true, he was/is a man of peace.

The rumor of his death I guess is false, so Fox News and CNN aren't claiming he's dead anymore. Anywyas here's the new pope:

he did his job pretty well so overall it was a good "popement". i think he´ll have to explain with the big boss some points like the Pinochet forgiveness but i´ll let Him handle it!

now the battle for the control of the Vatican begins. this is the nasty part, when people who are supposed to be religious show that they only care about power. i really hope the new Pope brings freshness to the catholic church. it´s time for them to do more and talk less. there´re so many things they have to review. i hope they do it, i really do.

Rumour has been denied.

I believe it's like the 3rd time in 3 days... give it a rest...

Too bad he cannot step down and live in peace. I did not agree with him on everything but he was a Pope that made an effort to visit people all over the world. Just need to let people use condoms and allow priests to marry. I expect him to assume room tempature soon.

He's done nothing to resolve my estrangement from the church. And he's maneuvered to have a like-minded pope replace him.

So I'm just one lapsed catholic, but I'm not the only one...

I feel sad for him that his time is at an end, and that he may be suffering now, but I won't miss him as Pope, and I'll be wishing his ossified successor a short watch at the helm.

You just need to find a media outlet that does news. :evil4:

I'm in Utah, where the computers don't work properly. The Mormons apparently don't believe in web-based email, so they have hotmail and yahoo mail BLOCKED OFF these computers.

Oh, and dating....yes. Condoms, yes.

Real Pope...still alive--barely.

Real Pope gone to the next world now.

I didn't agree with him on most points, probably, but R.I.P. Karel Wojtyla.

Well, this is now an historic moment for us catholics, I've never seen a pope election in my life!

(I was 5 the last time)

I'm not really religious like most people in the province of Quebec, but still, we're all catholics and I know how to detect an historic event...

I was able to see this Pope once when he came to Iowa. IIRC he was the only Pope to actively travel the world to visit Catholics.

So now we wait for the College of Cardinals to release the colored smoke. I remember this Pope's election, shows how old I am. Was not there a Pope right before him that lasted like two weeks? Or am I thinking of the USSR Politburo change?

I was at the Vatican only a few months ago, but we were too late to see him cos of the crowds waiting to get in.

God Bless and RIP.
