For clarification:
This thread is my tribute to the New Jersey born inhabitants of the great state of Texas who can speak French and appreciate the music of New Order and love Ozzy.
The forum will provide a place to meet me, and discuss their interests with me and other like-minded people.
Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!
Then I'll have to leave...the only one of these I am is living in Texas...
and I do occasionally enjoy watching Ozzy's show...

Stick around - it might get interesting one day!

My apologies, Big, for not having made a more polite departure yesterday. I was in a little bit of a hurry to leave. They were washing the floor in the parking garage, and I was already an hour late removing my vehicle. Nonetheless, I should have made sure to wish you goodnight.
This thread does seem to have attracted the brief attention of one person who actually does live in New Jersey.
The anonymous poster seemed to be inviting additional detailed inquiries about New Jersey and indicated a willingness to respond to such inquiries.
The person indicated that he/she was from North Jersey, the part of the state close to New York City, as opposed to South Jersey, which I believe is closer to Philadelphia. The only part of North Jersey that I have really visited is Newark.
Possible inquiries about where precisely in North Jersey the anonymous poster was located might elicit a response.
I note that you referred to the poster as a man. Is this something you know to be the case, or were you attempting to elicit either a veriification or a denial?
Hope you had a good night, Big.
I didn't really know what to say. It was all so sudden and I was, as I think I alluded, a little drunk on wine.
By referring to the anonymous poster in the male gender, I was only following the traditional (although now rather unfashionable) convention that dictates that a person or collection of people of unknown or mixed gender is referred to using the male gender.
Having said that, the tone and presentation of the arguments put forward by our unnamed friend (and I hope he will not mind me referring to him as such) would probably tend to make me err towards male if forced to guess at the gender.
In short; while this is clearly not the person we are looking for, I feel sure we have made a valuable ally.
Sir (or Madam) we welcome you to the forum and look forward to your future participation.
Once again, my sincere apologies for the abrupt departure, Big.
Another point one might make about the possible he-ness of the anonymous poster is that since the posters here are predominantly male, it seems more likely that a new one would also be of that persuasion.
I have really know idea how to determine the sex of an anonymous poster.
With gerbils you press their tummy and their willy pops out.
Or doesn't, I suppose.
Thank you for those kind words, NOBabe. You'll always be my favourite lady on here.
There is a poster called Marie on the Cat thread. I've looked at her profile and she can speak French!
Coincidence? I think not. I bet she shows up here in a minute.
Some radio station was playing an Ozzy song the other day and until the vocals hit I thought it was Ministry off of Plsam 69. Don't know the name of the song, kept repeating "over and over".
I've just had a bit of a laughing fit. I imagined us three standing in the dock, attempting to explain to the judge what all this is about!

I believe DC knows a lawyer.

I was wondering where my red pen went.

You can have it back, I've finished now. It's only a goatee.

I believe I know someone with a goatee. Just let me think for a minute about who that is.
BIGINOIL wrote: Is it a goat?
It might be.
Goats have a reputation for being randy, don't they?

"Randy old goat". Yes, I've heard that expression. Although rabbits get about far more, from what I have heard.
NObabe wrote: What the f**k is GOATEE?
A beard that doesn't cover the whole face. Like George Michael's. It just goes around the mouth, not up the cheeks. Probably invented so it doesn't scratch the inside of a lady's legs.
NObabe wrote: On his face, right. Where else did you think he had it? Is my grammar correct here?
Seems to be.
