Miserable bird on the checkout

Mike, did you see my Sainsburys visit post?

It sounds like your experience would have been okay, had it not for inferior assistance at the checkout.

I recommend a visit to the Northwich branch - the one near the Kingfisher pub. The staff there are excellent, and always have a giggle if you flirt with the girls a bit.

I think the fact that there is one counter at my store; behind which all the assistants stand, rather than the individual checkout stations that you find in larger stores. This encourages camaraderie and banter between the staff, causing them to be more relaxed and approachable. The individual stations create a more isolated environment for the girls and boys, thereby encouraging boredom and misery.

I would be interested to hear the checkout configuration of the Tesco you used this morning. It would be helpful if you could add this information to future posts.
