Seeing as I'm often online where there's no opportunity to actually hear music, I tend to have a song going in my head. So, if you are similarly starved for actual musical accompaniment and have something blaring away from the recesses of your memory, please share with the class

Damn right about Hot Burrito #1, despite Elvis Costello's rather lame cover. Bloody hell Tabsy, now I'll be hearing Gram singing Merle Haggard's Sing Me Back Home all day now.
Not to turn this into a "Gram Parsons thread", but I did just order Sweetheart of the Rodeo off Amazon. The record store used to have a sweet-ass collection of Byrds albums before they got bought out and some new dickheads took over. So, rather than drive all the way to Anderson in vain or whatnot, I'll just get it cheaper off Amazonia...

Might as well talk about Gram for a bit here, I listened to Sweetheart yesterday. Superb album, are you getting the reissue with the extra tracks Gram sang on, which Lee Hazlewood had removed at the time? Must be a cosmic coincidence that Sweetheart was released on my birthday, when I was very, very young.

Yeah, at least I think so (it was the only version of Sweetheart that was on the site). I'd like to get his album with the International Submarine Band just to see how he got started with country-rock. There's a Parsons anthology that includes that, Sweetheart, the Burrito tracks, and solo, but it's a bit bulky and I want to be able to appreciate the stuff seperately.
