Im a Cat person.Although it is a bit disconcerting when they look you up and down with a dissaproving look that seems to say "That new shirt looks crap on you".

And there is the theory that a cat knows a human better than a human knows his or her self.

I've tasted both, and can't say I was impressed with either.

Suppose I'd go for dog, if I had to choose.

Silly, everyone around knows I'm a lost puppy.

cat. although i like some dogs. one of my teachers has a really nice dog that i met last night. it's the small, ugly dogs that are annoying.

While it's nice to occasionally have a slobbering mongrel jump all over you, sometime it's better to have the cold distance of a steel-eyed pussy....oh, you meant "dogs or cats"! My bad :evil4:

100% cat person. Sara's talking about that she wants a dog. If that ever happends, I'll divorse her.

She couldn't argue with that.

Cats. Can't stand dogs, was bitten, in an unprovoked attack, by a German Shephard as a little kid. Then, whilst in high school, my parents had a couple of dogs that ruined my plants inside the house (horticulture at school gave me a green thumb).

Forgot: here's a pic of a cat that lives at my dad's farm; KC weighs in at about 33 pounds, his brother OJ tips the scales at 23, so it must either be genetics or way too many meices torn to pieces.

Sorry, what was the question again?

I'm a cat person. Definitely.

We're keeping my wife's parents'dog during their hollidays. Holly fuck, I can't stand it any more. They'll be back in two days, and I think I'll be happy to see them as never before. :evil4:

The simple fact of having to walk the dog four times a day, even in the rain, even in the cold, is a torture for me. And rain makes the beast stink. I definitely prefer the smell of a wet pussy to that of a wet dog. :D

dog person, definately - life with a dog is much more rewarding if they're properly trained. same goes for a man too. ;)

Cat person... they take care of themselves and you don't have to watch down when you walk in your backyard... and they clean themselves too!

Don't get me wrong, I like dogs, but I just don't want to take care of one...

All you have to deal with a cat is the amount of cat hair they produce and that they, hum, who do we say this in english... adjust their claws on your couch... ;)

I'm probably more of a dog person, although I have come to appreciate the finer qualities of cats over the years.

I dunno, it's a tossup... :confused2:

Dogs.. no, ca... auugghhhh

Cats just sit there-- they're very demeaning and they think they're better than you... but at least they're not hyper.

I prefer no pets. Let them all live free in the wild as God intended.

What is the underlying emotional need that drives people to have pets?

cat. the barbs on their tongues ensure that they don't slobber on you; they require little maintenance, but if treated with respect and love they bring endless joy.

as for why people feel the need to have pets: they bring people happiness and help people live longer because of the companionship! also, as for these animals being in the wild 'as god intended': cats and dogs do not belong in the wild; they've been domesticated. the argument that cats, for example, need to be outside is a myth. as long as they're provided with entertainment and exercise they're better off indoors. an indoor cat is unaware that it is supposed to be outside--felines do not possess the equivalent of the jungian collective unconscious (whether humans possess it either is a whole different matter entirely); they don't dream about being outdoors and running wild if all they know is the comfort of their owner's home. also, because cats (and dogs) are not native to most environments, outdoor cats result in the destruction of wildlife. not to mention, there's nothing more sad than seeing a dead dog or cat lying by the side of the road because it had been hit by a car!

Hey, we need more cat lovers in Wisconsin. Feral cats are becoming a problem. There has been an effort to legalize hunting feral cats. Read the news at:

Maybe we need an underground railroad for the cats to move them to more cat friendly states :D
