Nothing fancy, just list the shows you adore that are on currently, and the ones you loathe. Should be fun and easy, and reveal nuggets of info for any TV snobs to dress you down for your horrible taste. :thumb:

Anyway, I'll start...

Love: Arrested Development The Office (US) Simpsons Sportscenter Robot Chicken Aqua Teen Hunger Force Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law Tom Goes to The Mayor Late Night with Conan O'Brien Real Time with Bill Maher Scrubs

Loathe: The Simple Life American Idol Entertainment Tonight Hannity and Bitchslap The O'Really Factor Will and Grace SNL Desperate Housewives

I don't watch "TV," as you have so uncouthly phrased it.

Can't afford the cable.:\ohwell:

Sex and the Shite is the biggest piece of city I've seen. How overated...

Sexier than...

this guy?

Isn't he a Kiddo Fiddler?

No, if I understand your highly technical jargon, he's just an auto-fiddler. America makes no distinction, however.

Are you two still talking about Louis?

PeeWee.

Although it looks like Louis has the same habits... :evil4:

Never seen a second of shows like American Idol, Survivor, Apprentice, Fear Factor, etc. Can't remember the names of all those "reality?" shows that air, all I know is that I quickly became immune to their "charms"

The Office (US) isn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be, it certainly took some doing do find a toady more annoying than Gareth, and Dwight fills the bill (too bad I know people like him).

I'd hear good things about Arrested Development, but I have no idea what day or time it's on, so I've never seen that one either.

Top show for me is Deadwood, where nothing is quite as it seems. A show that can make me laugh, think and cringe in the same episode (Swearengen passing the kidney stone certainly got my attention  ) ; the archaic yet flowery speech patterns also invite close and repeated viewings and listens.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: what can I say? trying to figure our what Meatwad is saying is half the fun, and Shake has to go out and prove himself as the living embodiment of the phrase "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread".

Fox Football Friday: lively show, nice to see Steve(chelsea fan) and Nick (LFC) needling each other, last week's recap of Liverpool v. Chelsea was priceless e.g. when this trivia question came up before the tv break Where is the Champions League final being held, and who isn't there?, Steve muttered something about going into the control room and busting some heads.

The rest of my tv time is taken up by shows on History, Times/ Discovery, Nat'l Geographic, IFC, and repeats of Seinfeld, Simpsons, Chappelle's Show, South Park.

Oh yeah, a big thumbs down to Comedy Central these days, I know they're hurting for Chappelle's show to come back, but every time I tune in, it's yet another repeat of a MadTV show. Change the name of the friggin' channel already.

Love: Friends Will & Grace Have I Got News For You The Simpsons

Loathe: Hit Me Baby One More Time All those Pop Idol/X Factor shows

Don't normally watch an awful lot of TV, so that's why my lists are so short.

Love: Older Simpsons Twin Peaks Flying Circus Sex and the City The Critic Seinfeld

(None of these are current, I realized!)

Hate: The Real World The Chevy Chase Show

Was that a reference to the Chevy Chase's talk show? Wow.

I'm so glad the talk show hype has come and gone; when the heck is reality tv going to? But, then again, the few sitcoms now are below par as well :(

Twin Peaks was the shit! Until the solved the damn thing in the 14th episode...then it just became plain shit.

Yeah, I love Chevy but hated his show (as did everyone in America).

I don't think it became "plain shit" exactly, but I DEFINITELY agree that it wasn't nearly as good. Who is your favorite character, Pope?

Agent Albert Rosenfeld ,Sounds like you've been snacking on some of the local mushrooms. was always good for some great dialog, along with Pete Martell , Fellas, don't drink that coffee! You'd never guess. There was a fish... in the percolator! Sorry... Also, the Horne brothers, Ben and Jerry (no accident naming them).

Course, it'a always nice to see a pic of Audrey( Sherilyn Fenn)

Cooper was always my favorite, but I liked Rosenfeld also, plus Lynch's own cameos were very funny. And I had a crush on Madchen Amick for a while.

When I was around ten, Sherilyn Fenn was the first woman I can remember seeing and suddenly...well...having a...um, you know...down there. Anyway, I can credit her scene at the end of the first episode with my sexual awakening (all the good that's done me)  :faint:

  • X-Files
  • DW-TV News
  • Stargate SG-1
  • Upright Citizens Brigade
  • The Venture Brothers
  • Kids in the Hall

I HATE any and all reality TV shows. Where I work, there are people who run office pools on all of these shows.

Plus, I hate any surgery shows (what's the point!).

I loved the Adventures of Pete & Pete, which was Nickolodean years ago. It's coming out on DVD so I'm looking forward to that you little vikings.

Saw people mentioning Twin Peaks and the Prisoner. Two great shows.

Sherilyn Fenn is UNBELIEVABLY hot, easily one of the hottest actresses I've ever seen. Oh man. Speaking of which, I'm watching TWO MOON JUNCTION this weekend! I haven't seen it before, but I can't wait for its trashy goodness. This will make me sound like a 13 year-old boy, but I hope I get to see her naked in it.
