He's been dying for a very long time. Various illness and for some reason also rumored to have hiv. Probably because he never had a wife. That is bullshit, and ignorant.

i think the stroke he had 2 years ago (and never really recovered from) had something to do with his death, most likely!

I think the whole "HIV rumor" thing is a disservice not only to celebrities rumored to have it who don't, but also to real sufferers of HIV. So I don't put any stock in it in re: Luther Vandross. :nonono:

Marvin got shot in 1984, Barry White passed away last year, and now Luther. So that means Al Green or Stevie Wonder is next on the "Soul Singer Cut Down Before His Time" calendar :eek:

Of course I hope both Al and Stevie live much longer :nod:
