If the Rangers gets Crosby, their will be a riot across all hockey cities :lol:

Seriously, they have done SO BAD in the last decade that they shouldn't get a free ride like that!!

Keep your fatly paid players to yourself and avoid the rookies ;)

i couldnt agree more nick, he would look nice in an Islanders sweater:thumb: or canadians, hopefully the leafs dont get him, i really cant stand the teams they have had in the past few seasons, it went downhill when they got rid of Gilmour;) what if pittsburgh gets crosy he can learn from Super Mario, too bad i think the pens will be somewhere else in a couple of seasons, unless they get a new building, even with cost certanty, they will have trouble.

Sources have told TSN that the NHLPA has accepted the league's proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement. Some 225 players were in Toronto Thursday for the vote, with the other 500 or so casting their ballots electronically. The meeting will be followed by an afternoon news conference with both NHLPA boss Bob Goodenow and commissioner Gary Bettman.

Expect him to step down because he said he would never agree on a cap and linkage to revenues..

And expect Mark Gartner to take over...

also can colorado afford both sakic and Forsberg? impossible under this CBA so maybee forsberg will stay in sweden where he can command a lot of money and play at home, i think he has said he might do that.

That's what I heard too. That Forsberg will stay in Sweden.

His only problem is that he have never played as good hockey in Sweden, compared to NHL.

Oh well.

New rules for 2005-2006:

  • Allowing the two-line pass (no red line) like international hockey;
  • Reduction in goalie equipment;
  • Using the AHL crease and limits on goaltender puck handling;
  • No tie games; using a penalty shootout after overtime;
  • No-touch icing;
  • Bringing back tag-up offside;
  • Move nets back two feet towards end boards.

Ok, and the lock out is official over ;)

Eh, 15 is about where the Isles would be picking anyway. At least the Rangers didn't get Crosby. Bring on the buyouts!

No one in the Southern US cared to begin with. The new rules and financial structure should provide more interest. Either way, I certainly care. I can't wait. :thumb:

I though I wouldn't care, but if they DO help the game to be more interesting my applying the damned rules, I'll go back anytime and my interest will peak with the playoffs.

I'm not a super junkie, but when comes the playoffs, I can't get enough of it.

I hope so. I'll take hockey over any of the crappy shows the networks put on last year like, So You Think You Can Dance-With-The-Stars-And-Marry-My-Father-With-An-Extreme-Makeover!! :nuts:

Happy to see it...but alas my Washington capitals will suck huge time.....and of course the League loves Mario-so he gets Sidney Crosby! and my caps get #14!!

I love it not only do the Rangers Pick.. 16TH! the Islanders got the 15TH slot!!!:laugh: don maloney looked like he was just stabbed in the heart, and milbury could barley contain his smile. i think crosby is a good fit with the pens, what a disaster if the Ducks Landed him. all the rule changes are good too, except the point for losing in Overtime, whats with that if you lose you get Nothing, thats the way it Should be. word is the leafs will be trying to lure forsberg to TO, When the free agency Period Opens. will be a busy few weeks

You probably have the rookie of the year in Washington in Ovechkin... so I'd watch them closely if I were you!

Crosby might be good, but Ovechkin is one year older and not that far behind.
