Fools. France is so beautiful, with a rich culture, one of the most romantic languages, an exquisite cuisine...

Pity about the people, though. :evil4: :ignore:

Usually I celebrate Bastille day with French champagne and some brie and French bread. This year, I'm skint, so I can only celebrate in spirit...

So, this year, here's the headbadge from perhaps my most prized possession, my 1977 Motobecane bicycle:

I have to agree with most of this except for the language. How can you corrupt Latin like that. Yes I did spend several years rather unsuccessfully trying to learn french.

I can understand a lot of written French, but when I hear it, fuggedaboutit.

But it does sound very romantic.

It's not THAT difficult.... it's english that's too easy ;)

And hum, we don't like being called frog, it's an insult...

(Then again, I'm french-canadian, not french)

Canadians inc French Canadians are nice people and in no way frogs. That is a France specific term.

BTW I am fluent in German which is probably at least as hard to master as French.

I think there was one in Chocolat, she was in some other stuff (like the remake of Sabrina). She was really hot, I just can't remember her name for the life of me. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? :evil4:

Also, don't quote me on this but she may have been in The English Patient.....:D

Something about Three Colours, a series of films which were arranged in Blue, White, and Red, but I'll be damned if I can remember who she was

He's talking about Juliette Binoche of course. Not Julie Delphy.
