The best comedy serie ever. I remember watching it in VCR about 15 years ago, when I was just a kid. And how I laughed! If you show that for a 12-13 year old kid of today, they won't understand a damn.

There is no comedy nowadays as in the past...

I've only seen a few episodes, but what I saw was top-notch. Pity they had to get a wife-killer in the cast when they did the movies :evil4:

Score one for ruthless irony :nonono:

Seriously, though, a lot of the best comedy today is stuff that doesn't get appreciated by a wider audience (as I believe Police Squad was ignored in it's time). I'm thinking primarily of Arrested Development, which is smothered by the gaga over Desperate Ratings Stunt Hiring Over-The-Hill Actresses To Shake Up Shitty Show With Little Plot Or Interesting Developments Unless You Enjoy Having Your Comedy Force-Fed Through A Cathiter Shoved Down Your Throat....anyway, stuff like that. I know plenty of people who watch DH, but very few at least on a personal level who watch AD

The series cast was way better than the movie one, as the episodes were way better than the movies.

I almost don't watch sitcoms, it's just not fun anymore. And I don't know if they show AD here. Is it a Fox show?

Yes, it's on Fox.....which is why you've probably never seen it :D

They're coming back for a third season, which is good :thumb:

Arrested Developement is the best sitcom on TV right now. No doubt about it.

Barry: I got Michael out of his marriage, didn’t I?

Michael: Actually she died.

Barry: You’re kidding me. I’ve been taking credit for that for years.

Michael: Credit?

I remember a joke on there, somewhat. Two cops talking about a female cop.

"Whazz wrong with her?"

"I screwed her brains out last night."

Then they show the female cop who is acting like her brains were missing.

Finished downloading a torrent file of all episodes (1,337 GB) after a week.

Ahh, laughed my ass off again!

Unfortunately, I don't have the legends, so I might be losing one or other gag...

Police Squad! was Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker on peak form in the early 80s. I thought the funniest moments of this series were, when Frank Drebin goes to talk to the very knowledgeable Johnny the Snitch. Frank never asked about anything relevant to crime, but uses the snitch as an encyclopedia for mundane stuff e.g what is ska?
