Rian I'm worried... You are "faceless" for days now... What's wrong?
No I didn't hear of them, but my experience says if they're swedish musicians they must be good....
Btw. can you recommend Mando Diao?
I saw Mando Diao and they're terrible. Supported the Bravery in manchester. Really really bad. ![]()

Am I faceless?
You mean, no avatar?
Mando Diao is not a band I like. But you might do ![]()
They aren't shouting loud enough, because I can't hear any sound from the realplayer samples.
Not familiar with this group yet, but will check them out. Also Marit Bergman's 'Adios Amigos' copied the Hooky sound.
Rian, have you heard the group Acid House Kings? I think it's one of the best Swedish bands at the moment. Their style is somewhere between Belle & Sebastian and Saint Etienne. The name is very ironic too.

I used Window$ Mediaplayer, and it worked.
Never heard about Acid House Kings. But many swedish band never work in Sweden, they go abroad instead. That was what Shout out loud did.
Marit is kind of a punk girl. Enjoy her music, it's pretty good.

Yes...
I can see my avatar. Have you been playing with your personal settings? There is an option not to see otheres avatars.
Anyone else not able to see my avatar?

These guys were on Letterman a month back, and on the night they re-ran that appearance Leno had them on for the first time (which means that they blew their indie cred right after they gained it with the Letterman appearance) ![]()
Sounds good from what I've seen, there's been a beaucoup crop of English-sounding bands from Sweden lately. Must be the antithesis of Bergman-esque dread or something in the waters ![]()

I like the song they did on Letterman
(but I'm reluctant to invest in any new music lately)
i was just reading this thread and i noticed that Rian has been a memebr on here since my birthday last year!
How sad am i that i'm overly obsessed with all things august the 3rd!
This time I could hear the realaudio files. The songs are not bad at all. I think the I've heard some of them before. They remind me of the Wannadies. Someone give that singer a glass of water ![]()
