what's about italian "noolers" ?

As I can read a little bit of Italian, I'm just wondering why we've got a japanese forum (that's nice, and I'd like to "see" it, but it's always "?????… ???", and so on)…

And no italian one ! :eek3:

Any historical/political question here ? did I missed something ?

:confused2:

C'é solo un'Italiano qui (non é me-- sono Americano); allora, non c'é una ragione per avere un forum Italiano.

:nono:

oh no, you're not alone ! :music: (great Bowie song "Rock'n'Roll Suicide"… but that's another subjet)

You see, they are 53 italians registered on the world browser… and you, of course ! (and well, I suppose you're not the only renegade here  )

I don't think it's a question of number (japanese are just 54 at the moment)… I don't know at all !?!

But I just thought it might be interesting to have an Italian forum (we can't extend international forums to the infinite, right ?) … o.k, forget about that !

:D

Vorrei praticare l'italiano, ma abbiamo bisogno l'interesse per avere un forum Italiano.

Nic-- the webmaster-- is the one who decides these things, so you need to tell him. Actually, he'll probably read it here. ;)

Well, of course, but that's not the reason why I asked first that question… I just thought italians were big N.O fans !!! Maybe I was wrong ?

They are some informations you can have from different forums, this is the interest of it… if I would stay on the french forum all the time, I would not know a lot about "what's happening" (désolée les amis, m'enfin les bonnes infos sont un peu partout, n'est-ce pas ?)

The problem is : is there enough italians interested by a "italian" forum ? I think they should decide that question !

;)

Again;

If you can get ten or so people, from Italy, to voice support or email Spotty, I reckon he'd consider it...

The same Q has been made for a Gay forum and a Croation forum (sorry if I got the name of the country wrong!).

Well, that's why I said that THEY should decide !

Don't get me wrong : I'm french, not italian and I can't see myself tell them : "o.k, I decided you'll have your own forum lads (and ladies of course) !"

I was just suprised, that's all. But now this coulb be "great"…

SO ITALIANS FROM EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU WANT YOUR OWN FORUM HERE PLEASE ASK NIC OR SPOTTY THEN

CIAO ! (sorry but I have to find my italian dictionary before I can really put a message in "italiano", it's a little bit far from me now - 20 years ago )

If Italy is representative of the italiens down here, they all speak english anyways

Is the world ready for a Klingon NOOL forum?

Well, of course italian of nool speak english ! I think that's the definive answer ?!?

We all speak english here, (most of the time avec dedans des petits morceaux d'autre chose aussi)…

Au moins j'ai demandé, et maintenant je sais que c'est juste un problème d'organisation à la "latine" (un peu ingérable quoi !)

Thank you everyone / grazie !

Don't worry, they're a lot of charming people here, where ever they come from, and we still have other languages in common when words are failing, like :

:thumb: or

:music: or

aaaannd nonetheless :

[For klingon, I think we should wait for a while, yes… another forum with lots of /**---##**/ after "?????…??" - japanese forum, is a little bit to much]

Je comprends cette langue!

i don't speak a word of french but let me see if i can understand what you're writing about:

you're not sure who the moderator would be on the italian thread because there's only one italian person who visits the site on a relatively regular basis, and that's not even often enough for moderating responsibilities.

on the other hand, there were regulars who suggested japanese and serbo-croatian (slavic, actually!) forums and these forums are still in the early stages, so we'll have to wait and see if they'll be successful or not.

so, in other words it's best not to start a new forum right away until we see how these two new ones go. is this about right?

*i think if they work, an italian forum is a great idea since some people don't feel comfortable posting beause their english isn't very good. also, if people want to get together in their respective home cities they can arrange to do so in thier own forums.

And you didn't use any translator? :skeptic:

You are worthy of your profession ;)

Funny though, I could rework my entire text and you wouldn't be able to understand a damned word about it... ;) there are no translator for Quebec slang ;)

nope. i just used context clues. it's the best way to learn words you don't know in your own language, as well. you look at the surrounding words and figure out from the context of the sentence what the unfamiliar word means.

so, since some words are similar in english and french i could figure out what they were; then i filled in the rest using context clues.
