he played many roles on stage and on film, but to me he will always be tom robinson in 'to kill a mockingbird.' therefore, it was only fitting that he read the eulogy at gregory peck's funeral in 2003. when i found out gregory peck died, it was the first time i ever cried because a celebrity had died. atticus finch has been my hero since i was ten years old and gregory peck was always atticus to me, and always will be. seeing the film for the first time encouraged me to find the book and read it--five times so far.

i find myself with tears in my eyes now, because the story of atticus, tom robinson, scout and the rest changed my life. what a powerful performance brock peters gave in that film; i think i'll watch it tomorrow.

I just read he was Admaril Cartwright in the star trek movies....looks like this yr could be a bad yr for the original star trek crew with them dropping like flys the past month...hope the shatt doesn't pop his clogs!!
