He had a song called 'The One and Only' which is one of the biggest selling British singles of the 90's.
It was for a film called 'Buddy's Song' which had him and Roger Daltry.

i saw him playing in a nightclub in Halifax a few years ago, it was one of the funniest nights i've ever had.
my only grumble about good old chesney is thst when 'i am the one and only' came out it kept James 'sit down' off the number one spot!
Strange but true - the tracks we recorded for Community were recorded in the same studio that Chesney Hawkes recorded his comeback material. It bombed.
