So I heard Electronic on Radio 1 today

I am awesome. I recognized Barney's voice and thought it was a song off Republic or maybe WFTSC. I heard no trademark bass and remembered there's a video that I haven't seen which Spotnick's avatar is based on, I think that's a video from Republic. And I remember people saying there was no bass on Republic. Anyway, it was ok - "Getting Away With It".

They also played Gang of Four right after, but I don't remember the song name, Smashing Pumpkins - "Perfect", and a bit earlier "Boy With The Thorn In His Side" by the Smiths. :D

geez.what shows this? i know jeremy vine plays smiths and some other stuff on radio 2

It could've been Jo Whiley, I'm not sure. It was on around 2pm-ish.

Cheers. I listen to my iPod most the time at work but when I take my headphones out it was glad to hear something decent today. I don't mind if they overplay the Magic Numbers but I swear they play that shitty Kaiser Chiefs song all the time!

Radio 1 and a fair few other stations occassionally play 'getting away with it'; they seem to be ignorant of all the other singles elctro released thou'.

Spotnick's avatar is a clip from one of the tecnique singles; I think it's 'fine time' but can't be sure...

There was bass on republic, but it's a bit sparse as the band were not getting on at the time; pretty amazing how good republic is considering this (even though it's not a fan fave).

Ok, I fucked up. I meant 6 Music or something which is affiliated with the BBC. It plays Peel sessions of songs too like today they did Heartbreaker by Led Zep. :D
