that is pretty sad. i went to junior high with his daughter, emily. i don't know how she ended up living in fort collins, colorado--her parents were divorced, evidently.

anyway, even though it was a bad show i watched it every day after school. i even had a 'thing' for gilligan for a while....

I spent countless half hours watching that show as a youth Thanx for the laffs, Bob. RIP

So I guess he won't be able to get that cameo on "Lost" this season as the island's oldest-living inhabitant...

Sorry, I'm going to hell for that :nonono:

Anyway, I grew up with the show, and while it wasn't high art it wasn't total crap either (Mary-Ann or Ginger? Both!). So RIP, Bob...

No one could squeeze canned laughter out of a coconut joke like him. Still, I always liked the Professor best.

I had a mate who was built rather like the Captain; he used to call me *ahem* "Little Buddy" *ahem.* This was around the time I was madly in love with a woman named Marianne.

now so long, marianne, it's time that we began to laugh and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.

The Skipper used to torment me with Boston, actually...

"’till I see marianne walk away I see my marianne walkin’ away"

That, and he used to call me the [bLuE oRdEr] doll: you squeeze it, and it cries "Mari."
