did you see the 'show' the owner puts on with his wife?

Quadrant Park Bootle. Mardi Gras in town was good for a while. Cream was also good when it started.
Went to Privelege at Manumission the night it caught fire, which was featured on Ibiza uncovered. Not really a fan of the whole super club vibe, they attract too many tourists, which dilutes the music. In fact I can't really say Ibiza was that great, though I went back a few times. Drinks prices and admission fees were always beyond a joke. I can imagine Space would be good under the right circumstances, pity I was bored off me head by a dull Sasha set when I went. Pacha was ok, nice place.
Was always in the back room at Cream for the more underground jocks.
Well...the only one that ever got it's hooks into me so that I went back week after week was Club A...I think I was there every weekend from 88 until it was closed down in mid 1990....
I believe it was mandatory to be on E to get in...
i'm not a 'nightclub' person, but i did enjoy twylo in NYC. beds to lie on and hedda lettuce lounging on the piano singing old standards.
i also enjoyed the first-class airline seats when i went to metalheadz in the blue note in london's hoxton square; the rest of the club was nothing special, though.
my favorite club is neo but the two nicest i have been in were Vision & the dark room (both in chicago). my favorite out of town club was one that was in DC that wenorder took me too, though that wasn't even the nice one and the cool one wasn't doing an industrial night while i was there.

when i visited my best friend at college at georgetown she took me to two in DC that she used to frequent. one was an industrial club with a techno room that was actually pretty cool. i was one of the few in the techno room, as most people there seemed to be into the goth/industrial scene. the main issue? it was right in the middle of S.E. DC! needless to say, most cabs wouldn't even take us to that part of town, so we spent ages finding a taxi.
the second was another industrial club. i can't for the life of me remember in which part of town this club was located. the night we were there, gravity kills and sister machine gun were playing. interestingly, the next night i went back home to NYC and went to coney island high where my radio station had hooked me up to see...gravity kills and sister machine gun!
Growing up in Los Angeles i loved going to: Helter Skelter Stigmata Kontrol Faktory
Now i go to MJ's(gay bar) on Friday nights in Silverlake: The Dj always plays me some New Order. Some of the best nights he's played songs like: 1963, Shellshock, Leave me Alone, and Krafty.
Oh yeah my friend Frankie has a club called Satelite on Saturdays and he's the BEST!!!!!!
The Syndicate in Blackpool. It holds up to 5 thousand and has 2 floors the upper being more charts, old skool and 80's sounds and the lower floor is dance, trance ect with a huge revolving dancefloor which comes in handy as a lift to one of the 10 bars or so. its sooo COOL!
Quad Park in Bootle is right up there.
but "the Underground (circa 1989)" in Perth, West Australia was way cool.
especially those three girls who we nicknamed Bananrama, who used to go everyweek withb their tiny felix the cat bag of tricks.
The beer bottles had a tiny film of ice on top. dead cold.
They even had a downstairs club called Lulu's which was purely rockabilly. big quiffed up hair etc. very strange for Perth. and a boss babe dancin in a cage over the bar.
they played Mama told me by Fantastique and Jack to the Sound of the Underground by Hit house. good at the time.
then the Japanese took it over aned turned it into just another big aussie ( flowery white shirt) bar.
The Firm nightclub, in the Old Melbourne was another class club. Then the Japs got hold of that one too.
I went to a great place in Agadir in Maroco many years ago. Can't remember the name anymore, but it was huge.
And also in Rhodos. They have a hole town with no hotels, only lots of bars and nightclubs. Creepy place.

How did I know Club A would warrant a mention... :) I was in Austin for most of the time this club was open. However, it was a big player on my weekends home. We probably "freaked" some of the same girls...... :D
My favs in Austin were Halls (they would play the BLT video along with the song - and you clould break your ankles on all the popper bottles left strewn about the dance floor) and The Arena (lots of black lights, club fog and good music - and friendly ladies!)
