Congratulations for having the courage to put yourself on the line!

I wish I could remember the term for that particular rhetorical device. Unfortunately, it escapes me.

Dunno how to pronounce it but I had to google it and found this:

A paralipsis or paraleipsis (from the Greek: leave aside) is a rhetorical figure or figure of speech in which one emphasises something by pretending not to mention it (also known as preterition). Typically, a paralipsis is introduced by phrases such as “we need say nothing of” or “not to mention”.

Example:

“The restaurant was dirty and noisy, not to mention the waiters.”

Well i`m pleased and relieved woth the positive response so far. This makes my dismal performance in the hottest male NOOLER poll a distant memory .

Interesting that the people seem to prefer the short and dark hair.Although Patrick went for longer and wavy.

I voted for going down the pub.Guess i`ll be there on my own then.

Ill have to tell my brother about this.He has really long hair and hes often saying i should grow mine long. But nah!

In contrast to Jonathan's poll, which was pretty evenly divided, this one is pretty lopsided.

Actually, I was voting more for the sun-bleached part than the long part, so if it's going to be dark rather than sun-bleached I'd vote for short as well.

Yeah dark and long is probably not good i agree. And im just a few replys away now from surpassing Jonathans number of replys in his hair poll.Admittedly some of the replies have actually been from me.But getting nearly 30 in just a few hours is much much quicker than his.

So to quote the great man himself,

So it's unanimous for dark and short (putting aside the votes for the pub, which I would vote for also).

Maybe a camera expert could explain why the picture came out all lopsided. But it would probably be too technical and boring for me though:shrug:

Yes but a lot of the posts were actually from me.Take those away and i didn`t get many more than you. Thanks for the compliment about looking young for my age.But the wavy sunbleached photos are from a few years ago when i had that style. The short hair picture from last year is more accurate of what i look like now.A September 2005 photo is in my profile.

I think to summarise i don`t do the longer look as well as you.Mine ends up a bit styleless whereas is yours is OK.
