I stumbled across a record by "Derek and Clive" (alias Dudley Moore and Peter Cook) yesterday, bought it, took it home, and am listening to it now. It's offensive, profane, full of four-letter words like "cunt", "fuck", and "shit". And it's funny as hell. :evil4:

I actually want to get more of Moore and Cook's work with "Beyond the Fringe", but you try finding obscure British comedy at a record store in South Carolina. Anyway, I've got "Knowing Me, Knowing You" with Alan Partridge on the way from Amazon, so as soon as it gets here I might try and order the Fringe stuff off that site.

The record is "Derek and Clive Come Again", it's not suitable for airplay :music:  :faint:

I've got Derek & Clive's Ad Nauseum, Come Again and 'Live' on me MP3. Can't help but smirk when I'm playing tunes on random on the way into work ... and then one of their sketches kicks in whilst I'm stood on the tube!

They are both responsible for making the word cunt cool as fuck.

There was a documentary on a while back, loadsa comedians saying just how brilliant these records were, I was in tears watching some of it. Brilliant.

While on a hunt on Amazon for more Peter-Cook-and-Dudley-Moore-related products, I stumbled across the only extant live performance on DVD of their group "Beyond the Fringe" (which always pops up in all the Python biographies I read):

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000A6T1WW/qid%3D1126826952/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/102-9396409-7041766

I pre-ordered it and paid for it today (it's not being released until October 4).
