God Damn it! he is the greatest actor alive!

After finally starting to collect the full DVD collection of Star Trek: The next Generation. i've been watching episode after episode and i've come to the conclussion that Patrick Stewart is the best actor alive!

Ok so he hasn't done the classics like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and by the way it looks from some of the threads on here Kevin Bacon but every performance i've ever seen him in , be it Star Trek, conpiracy theory, to some shakespere stuff and all the rest i've seen him in the man is awesome.

I know not many (if any) people will agree, but hey just getting it out of my system.

He was in Excalibur as well. The series finalee (sp) of Star Trek NG was very very good. But Robert Duval gets my vote.

He's OK but let's face it, he's no Corey Feldman.

i'm afraid old richard Harris is a dead man.

I don't see why Sean Penn is called the greatest actor of his generation. It's obvious that he's beaten out by those other two classic thespians, Judge Reinhold and Eric Stoltz!

I like Patrick for a long time, too. Well, he is at last one of the greatest actors alive. My favourite actor alive is Tim Roth... Did a lot of great independent films (I'm not talking about the obvious highlights "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" here). Let's start a poll if british actors are better than US ones (Tim is a brit, as Patrick, too)
