FAO: BERE

I was just wondering, how popular are NOTWIST is germany. I like them very much. All German bands, i've heard, i seem to enjoy. I may be going to see 13&god next week. It is a collaboration between them and a hip hop group from california. Ive heard great things about this collaboration and it should be interesting.

Well er... I heard that they exist. They appear on festivals now and then... But I personally never heard anything of them...

I think you would like them. Word has it that 10yrs ago, they were a heavy metal band. Now, they have an indie rock sound with a lot of electronic elements that fit in very nicely. They tend to be gloomy at times, and i wished they were dancier. Their album 'neon Golden' has receive much praise and righty so. Its def. one of my top albums since 2000.

Its always funny when a band isnt popular in their homeland. For example, my pal's ensemble plays a show in Ohio and draws about 500 people. They go to Japan and get about 2,000.

I have their latest album. Pretty good, but I can't listen to the whole album in one time. It's to much, of something that iI can't put my finger on.

But they are good, they really are.
