Simple Minds are going to do a gig in Stockholm in February 2006. In a small nice venue.
I lost interest in them in late 80's, but I wonder if I should gather my friends and go and see them.
Anyone seen them live resently? Is it still the original lineup?
Are they any good nowadays, Bere?
Guess who's going to see them in March 06 :) in Duesseldorf. Yeah they are still good... My concert No. 7! Can't wait...
Lineup... Well... At last Jim and Charlie are still original. Mel Gaynor (the drummer) worked on the album and perhaps tours again with them. On the last tour they had their fellow founder member and bassist Derek Forbes with them... For the new album they got a new guy, don't know if he tours with them... So nearly all the "old" people...
Do they still playe old songs? I mean, really old ones, from early 80's. Before New gold dream.

Nice balance, in the 2003 sets, of old/new/classic songs. Would've loved to have heard stuff like Premonition, Sweat In Bullet, and The American when I saw them in the mid-80s, but their apparent abandonment of their past catalog for their more commerical sound still disappoints me to this day.
