i'm watching sex traffic at the moment, and totally re-evaluating my opinion of John Simm. Previously i was not so impressed but he is rather cute in this. I think its cos i love a man in glasses. Still don't think he should reprise his barney role though. Too old!
state of play was good as well now i think about it.
still the terrible question echoes through my mind: who will play barney?

john simm is definitely in my top 10. the here to stay video--can't get enough of it. i first saw him in human traffic and thought who is that! 
Okay, am I the only one who feels misled by the thread title? 
John Simm was great in 24HPP, but he may be too old to play young Barney. The one picking point I have is that he had the "New Order spiky do" from the early Eighties (which has gone through various but similar versions of the same ever since) during the Joy Division section...when he was un-spiky! Blatent factual error!...
But he was great as Barney 
now that was harrowing! all teary eyed at the end...
cheered up when i saw cillian murphy on film 4 advert after though. good viewing, all i need now is someone at channel 4 to go crazy and put the confusion vid on and my night is complete
i agree about the inaccurate hair. i think hair will be very important in defining character, I look forward to seeing samamtha morton with ginger flicks
