Nói albínói. One more great movie after 101 Reykjavík from Iceland. I liked the acting from Elín Hansdóttir who is also so so sexy! You can also check some of her work here http://this.is/elinh/.I f you are a fan of slow movies then this is a mustseen film.

Funny I remembered exactly the same line.
When Dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Seriously, although i only saw the last half of it. they spent at least 30 mins with this absurd chasing scene, in which not much happenned apart from a lot of grunting and semi naked people wandering around some hills. then you saw some really crappy dinosaur scenes ("its daytime here, but where those dinosaurs are, which are supposedly right in front of us, its the dead of night!" was presumably what one of the grunts meant) and then i think a comet hit the earth and everyone died. Falls into the category its so bad its good.
In Remebrance of robert Wise i watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture. It was ok,not my fave Star Trek film though
the hole with thora birch and keira knightley. it was on HBO on demand and i was bored and up for a thriller. it was better than i thought it would be.
The 40 year old Virgin... while hardly a great piece of cinematic art or a movie that you are wanna anxiously get the special edition DVD ... is actually much better than you would expect from Hollywood, sensitive to the issue and fairly funny. the movie strikes a little to close to home for me, i found it rather disturbing and depressing personally
gonna watch Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe on DVD, with trepidation, to see what they did with it
At a cinema?
Winnie the Poh. With my son. The one about the Heffaklumps" (it's called that in swedish) They went into a big forest, and ment some elephant-looking animals.
Not a very good film.
Other than that, Lord of the ring, III. But this was more than a year ago.

Spent Sunday, recovery day, watching Repo Man, Ed Wood, and Dazed And Confused. Repo Man and Ed Wood were either on IFC or Sundance, can't remember which, and Dazed was on AMC. A great film watching day indeed.
"Green Street". A simple lesson in how Norvern actors just can't do Cock-er-knee accents for love nor money.
Lennox Lewis sounded more authentic.
This week I've seen Eyes Wide Shut, Closer and The Village.
Somehow it took me 40 minutes into The Village before I understood the protagonist Ivy was blind. Ron Howard's daughter Bryce is a fine actress though.
Today I went to my local video store and asked if they had Layer Cake. The clerk had never even heard about it. 
Bought a tube of Pringles instead.

I randomly saw the thriller SUSPECT ZERO with Ben Kingsley but talked the whole way through. It wasn't that great.
I also saw MADAGASCAR in the theaters and actually enjoyed it to some extent. It made me miss New York!!!

The thing giving me a headache is the disc i rented.it freezes at 47 mins.just when the girl starts putting her sexy undies on.wouldn`t have anything to do with the previous person who rented it pressing the pause button and frame by frame advance now would it?
Layer Cake.Finally saw it.Enjoyed it more the second time because the first i found myself not in the mood for drug gangs and clowns like The Duke.Good use of She Sells Sanctuary in one of the early scenes.
A Matter of life or death, with David Niven on TV yesterday afternoon, strange film, the sort of thing the BBC used to show on dismal wet sunday afternoon's when i was a kid, I dont think i've seen it since i was a kid and i remember it kind of spooked me then, That staircase and the way the world was in colour but heaven was black and white.
The punisher (2004 version) don't think i'll be watching the punisher 2 when it comes out lets put it that way

the machinist was a great movie. i guess the big debate over that movie is whether he was still alive, but delusional. or, he was dead and living in purgatory!!!

i watched the ring 2 this afternoon. it had some creepy parts, but paled in comparison to the original and the original. as expected.
King Arthur.Enjoyed it,tho not too sure of its historical accuracy,with all the Romans featuring so heavily..Good film entertainment wise.Not a lot of films appeal to me,so i don't watch too many nowadays.Star wars and Lord of the Rings not withstanding,plus a few others, most American movies bore the shit out of me,with recycled bollox stories

Yeah, I knew about the Bergman connection, but it still doesn't redeem the movie. It was simply a technically inept film that wasn't campy enough to entertain and wasn't extreme enough to shock me. Both Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham went on to better things...and thank god for that. Then again, The Hills Have Eyes wasn't much better. If I want a notable rape-revenge movie that really shocks me and prods me into thought instead of boredom, I'll reach for I Spit On Your Grave or Irreversible.
Put my old video of Eraserhead on again recently.Always good for a chuckle that one.

Just saw Flight Plan. It was ok, not great, just ok. Poor Jodie Foster, she's always a victim: thinks daughther disappears on a plane, or house gets broken into, or gets raped on pinball machine, or has to kiss Richard Gere. Poor girl.

i think it was suppossed to be sexy and a smart-ass patronizingly "we know its stupid so that is what makes us smart, are not we clever!", an almost nonsense screenplay. a perfect example of writers parodying something they know little about, but it is very different which makes it cool in some ways... visually very bizarre and unique, worth seeing once.
and now i know where the names Matmos and Duran duran came from... thou why Duran Duran choose that name, i still don't know, maybe they liked the hairstyles from the film
and i think the planet from the rather crappy film Mom and Dad Save the Universe (or whatever it was called) was inspired by Barbarella

It's pretty minimalistic, but I thought it was bordering genius. I'm very much looking forward to seeing Manderlay, the second film in Lars Von Trier's trilogy about America. And Ron Howard's daughter, who was good in the Village, is Grace this time.

Troy..I don't reckon Brad is as hard as he makes out in the film,but it was ok and great battle scenes,Pitt cannot swordsman aswell as Julian Clary nevermind Achilies

the trailers looked pretty cheezy! same old formula of kids trying to start something new. run into other kids doing the same, but more flashy. them beating the odds. am i thinking of the right movie?

Watching Roadhouse on TV..."Simpsons" was a repeat, AD's on Monday nights now, and they have some sad-ass show with Michael Rappaport in it's place. So I'm leaving it on the "mullets of fury" flick

Just finished David Lean's BRIEF ENCOUNTER. It was great. I love the old classics like that, what with their sly modernism and poignant love stories.
I also went and saw Begman's AFTER THE REHEARSAL, which was very good. Many of the lines and situations were described in nearly identical terms in his autobiography. It was great to finally see it - I've been meaning to for some time. An interesting look at the role of acting and truthfulness in relationships and the theater, and ultimately the conflation of the two worlds into one. I really liked it.

i thought the main robot had excellent facial expressions--very human, down to the eyes and brow movement. but you're right, there was nothing spectacular about the rest of the special effects. on the other hand, it only takes place 30 years in the future so technology wouldn't be that different.
what always bothers me about many action and sci-fi films is the inevitable deus ex machina that allows the protagonist to (relatively) easily destroy the threat. in this case it was a double whammy: the handy virus which will smith placed in NIKI and the 'bionic arm' possessed by smith, allowing him to both destroy the bad robots and slide down NIKI to in order to inject the virus.
I just saw Oliver Twist. Never saw the older versions, but I just finished reading the book.
I also saw Thumbsucker a week ago. Also not a bad film.
Saw 'A History of Violence' yesterday. Not quite as much tension as I'd hoped for, but William Hurt looked absolutely bonkers in it. Can't remember last time I saw him in anything?

Have to disagree there, I thought it was pretty good as Pooh stories go. Mind, the lack of continuity left the wee one upset: they all forgot about Eeyore, left in the woods on his own with all this stuff on his back, these scriptwriters should be sacked

Aviator with Leonardo and Kate Blanchet, it was worth watching. I would give "The Last Horror Movie" a miss unless you are into nothing but blood and gore! I also seen Mona Lisa Smile last week ....YAWN! Iv got Constantine and Coach Carter for the weekend! My fave film of all time is "Going Off Big Time". Anyone seen it?

Good old fashioned big screen sci-fi with character development and a limited CGI budget. Whoever would've thought that'd work.

totally agree with transporter 2 comment... nice car commercial for audi- horribly unrealistic storyline... though the first transporter was decent...

It was certainly better than the last Final Fantasy flick, le shudder. Especially since I didn't have to pay to see this one

Saw Grizzly Man last night. Best film I've seen all year. The movie works in so many ways, as an amazingly intimate documentary on both the grizzly bears and with a man who has gone slightly mental and become the actor in his own film, and knows he faces a sudden, violent death at any moment.

I thought very overrated. Boring even by Jarmusch standards. Bill was good for what he was given, which wasn't much; not quirky enough like his other recent roles. In general I think Jarmusch is an overrated filmmaker...too damn repetitive. I did really like Dead Man and Down by Law, though.

I totally agree. Jarmusch personally puts me to sleep. This was no exception.
