my highlight is probably conquering Ben Nevis the UK's tallest rock! that and going home for my birthday the rest has been pretty dull with work taking up most of my time

You're kidding - it's still glorious sunshine down here, just wandered down Baker St to Selfridges thinking, "Why the fcuk have I got a jacket on!". Thank God for air-con offices!

Well weird to see that Selfridges already have their XMAS shop open though!!

This summer I think I've only had 2 weekends in London and they both coincided with Flowered Up gigs. Seen New order a few times, done a stag do, a wedding, worked more hours than a pack-horse, the usual shit.

We didn't do much this summer. We usually go to greece or Spain for a week in the summer, but couldn't aford that this summer. New house and all.

Painting the house. New wallpapers in one son's room. Visiting friends all over Sweden.

Been working too. To keep the kids home from kindergarden for 11 weeks in a row, I worked when Sara had vacation, and I was home when she worked.

Autumn leaves were falling......

Up here, in the far up nether reaches of scotland summer lasts about 1 week in June, then it pisses it down with rain the rest of the year it's rubbish.

Camped in the woods for a week. Canoed twice on the Cedar River. Rode various bicycles about 1000 miles. Spent a week bicycling across my State. Drank mass quantites of beer. Smoked quite a bit of weed. Spent too much time at work. Spent too much time on the computer. Too many video games. Taught my son how to fire the SKS and Mauser. Did not spend enough time with my wife in bed but was stellar when I did. Hooked DigiMike up with JB.

Apart from the usual (Staring at computer screens too much, downing bottles of wine in half an hour ,smoking although i hate it) i did have a week down in Somerset and Devon.Love all those steep winding lanes and rolling fields and hills stretching down to the sea.Guess i`m just a good old country boy!

worked in a biology lab for 10 weeks pretending to read while I was napping, found a few new places to eat, made pancakes, lied on the e. coli filled beach, went to visit a friend in Oregon and saw pretty things and climbed rocks, slept, wrote a lot of emails, read a bit, and generally hung out in Chicago

Jeff, I'm counting my California trek for the Order as the start of my summer, seeing as how I took two weeks of my vacation time for that.

Worked a lot, and got to get out of the office for a large part by driving, of course the flip side of that is dealing with idiot drivers.

Went to Seattle for two Mariner games, one against my beloved Mets, who lost, and one against the Orioles, the day afte Mr. "I've never taken steroids" got his 3,000th hit. Had a lovely time, except for the horrendous traffic (closing part of I-5 south, during the day, even a Sunday  ). Unfortunately did not meet with the multi-tasking Biznotic and his missus this time.

Watched Los Lobos play a great set in our town, in a free concert; most of the crowd, except for the hispanics and die-hard fans like me, had to listen to a very lengthy string of unfamiliar tunes with Spanish vocals, before getting a perfunctory La Bamba as the encore. Nice one guys :thumb:

I'm still enjoying the summer at work :) Damn it's 105 F here today!

It's been a good season. First, seeing New Order in May in California (my first trip to the West Coast) and then promoting to a manager's position at work in mid-July. Not bad :) Now I'm fixing to move to another house.
