Yep. The comic dude guy- the best comic of all time in my opinion; horrific, shocking, outrageous, funny and thought provoking all at the same time!
Always preferred Hellblazer.
Seemed Ennis tried to constantly outdo himself after Jessie's granma and her 'helpers' snuffed it.
I agree.
Hellblazer was the first, although I rate Preacher ever so fractionally higher.
I almost fainted when I heard what they were doing to John, but actually I was pleasantly surprised; Keanu wasn't half bad... Lets hope theres a sequel...

I had the same reaction.
What's your favourite Preacher and Hellblazer storyline?
My memory is crap, so you may have to help me...
Preacher; The story where Cassidy gets shot into little bits and they have the big shoot out with Star and co. (The Nazi boss guy- may have got his name wrong).
Hellblazer; Well, Dangerous Habits is amazing... I also like the story about the demon of the football fans- a cautionary tale for any aspiring 'viking'...
Anyway... logging off now, see y'all tomorrow!

That was the last great Preacher story, IMO.
Isn't Cassidy genius?

Ever heard of 'The Sandman' comic (that's no.3 in my all time list) ?
My fave story from that is 'A Season of Mists'; where the devil resigns from hell and all chaos breaks loose as a result... (you can get it in collected book form now).
I know (a bit anyway...) Neil Gaiman's masterpiece. It just happens that, when it comes to comics, I'm a little bit partial towards european ones. French/belgian school, to be more acurate:
Moebius/Giraud, Enki Bilal and the like...
The Sandman stories are out in collected hardcovers now- you'll be happy if you spend your money on these- I guarantee!

'A Season of Mists' - a complete classic!
and
'A Game of You'....
No, you said that Sandman was nº 3 in your all time list. What are nºs 1 and 2 then?
Oh, sorry;
Preacher.
Hellblazer.
Sandman.
And from the retro days (late 70's / early 80's);
Claremont's Uncanny XMen.
The Defenders.
Nova / ROM.
The Defenders were a group of superheroes who dealt with mystical threats to Earth / The Universe. Comprising mainly of; Dr. Strange, The Hulk, The Silver Surfer and a few other lesser knowns...
Nova was a sort of Spiderman type character with cosmic powers.
ROM was a guy beating off an invasion of shape shifting 'wraiths' who were trying to take over the world (ala DS9's changelings and a million other copies).
Don't worry; you're not missing much by not being aware of these comics; it's more a sentimental thing as they were some of the first things I read...
:D
