Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today that Monster Jam® sold out two shows in its first-ever appearance at the Gelredome in Arnhem, Holland Saturday, September 17.

The two-performance event entertained more than 40,000 fans over the weekend. The third stop of a 10-city European tour, Monster Jam’s inaugural Holland appearance was co-promoted by Mojo Concerts. Saturday’s matinee show sold out weeks before the event. Thousands of fans showed up for the pre-show pit party where they were up-close and personal with the drivers and the first-class line-up of trucks: Grave Digger®, Monster Mutt®, Superman, Madusa, Escalade, El Toro Loco®, Hot Wheels, and Inferno™.

“We are thrilled with the results in Holland,” said Magnus Danielsson, senior director of European events Clear Channel Entertainment – Motor Sports. “Two sold out performances on Saturday at our first-ever appearance in Holland is amazing. Our co-promoter, Mojo, with Roberto Traxel, has done a superb job in launching and establishing our Monster Jam brand in Holland. We are especially pleased with the fans’ enthusiasm to the event and look forward to growing the event in Holland for years to come.”

Prior to Holland, the tour kicked off in the U.K., attracting 34,000-plus fans at Manchester’s Evening News Arena and Birmingham’s, N.I.A. facility.

“Our next stop on the tour is in Zurich, Switzerland this coming weekend,” said Danielsson. “We expect to sell out every show at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, which will equate to over 30,000 live event spectators for the weekend. This once again proves the strength and potential for the Monster Jam brand internationally. We are very pleased with the initial results of our European expansion.”

Complimenting the live events is a comprehensive television package that reaches seven countries in Europe, including: Belgium (Plug TV); Sweden (TV3 & ZTV); Finland (Nelonen); Switzerland (Star TV); Holland (RTL 7), Italy (Italia 1), UK (Channel 4 & Kerrang TV!).
