i'll tell thee again-leaders of the free world-elbow although i'am not sure that i'd call it a tune though
Check out Silver bullit.
And Shout out louds.
Both from Sweden
Shout out louds are touring the USA now.
"Keep on Moving" by the Audio Bullys - lyrically, the only decent thing on the new album which is, basically, shit. Sadly. A major step backwards from their first offering.
Don't mind them Bullys.
Been listening to Royksopp's new stuff, some quality there.

The new Royksopp album is`nt a patch on the first one. I picked up the SE 2 disc version, and i like the free disc better. Still decent compared to other electronica stuff though.
Turntable Utabied by Utabi
Not so much a reinvention of electronic music as an example of the spontaneously generated sounds being splurted out in the interzone of electronica. Neurotic glitch tunes programmed on 8-bit chips.
just got n.m.e. free c.d. in it. 2 tracks that i am very impressed with are: dead man-the longcut please stand up-british sea power
it's not new, but check out:

obviously, it's microphones, who no longer exist, but go under the name mt. eerie. they've got a new one out, which sounds fairly close to this in several ways. the new one is called "no flashlight."
listen to this all the way through, as it ends up in quite a different place than it started... out... in... yeah...
Astrobrite is one of the best new bands, in my opinion. One of the very best American bands of the past 20 years, that's for sure. ![]()

The longcut are on the same label as Nine Black Alps and they're good too,
I'd recommend Depeche Mode's "Precious." It's probably their best song since anything off Violator, although some like "It's no Good" weren't all that bad.
There are a few good tracks on:
Warchild: Help! A Day In The Life.
Radiohead being the obvious standout,Coldplay Mylo and plenty of others.

Have you got hold of Generations yet?! There's no variety on it whatsoever, and the lyrics are dire. Reminds me of a thing they put together called Hooligan House a few years ago. Bit repetitive and no ingenuity on it whatsoever. Ego War was/is a classic though.

I don't think it's that far behind the first, personally.
There are so few dance acts these days who are actually exceeding the quality of their earlier albums, sort of sums up the state of the genre a bit.

No, I've read some so-so reviews as well. Don't know if I'll bother now.
Did like some of their earlier gear.

I liked their new album The Understanding even more than their debut. What Else Is There is in my opionion one of the best songs this year. Brilliant vocals by Karin Dreijer (from The Knife) on that particular song.
The new single from Depish Mode is much better than I expected. Will defo buy Playing the Angel in October.

I hope Diggy Mike won't see this.
Run Baby Run by Garbage, has a very New order feel to it..If someone told me the lads wrote it I would not instantly disbelieve them..elements of dreams never end in there.
Agree about the new Mode single, but will hold off on jumping into the new LP...."It's No Good" was a class single, but the rest of the album was unlistenable dreck, Exciter was probably the worst thing they have ever done (including SOFAD).
