Vikings and New Order?

This has recently been discussed on the controversial Alumni thread. The soundtrack of The Vikings was used as an intro at 80s NO gigs. Some of the hardcore fans (Manc contingent especially) have been wearing viking helmets at more recent gigs to - as I assume - show they know their NO history.
And yeah, from a Scandinavian perspective this looks silly as fook. No offence.
Bernard likes to sail boats. Hooky likes to pillage foreigners. Gillian likes Steven to wear a pointy viking hat in the bedroom*.
*unconfirmed rumour/gossip

Awww come on - everyone knows that no-one in the 'hardcore' would be seen dead in a viking helmet. It'd be like wearing Stone Island or Burberry.

Damn, your puns are good.
There seems to be Vikings and then the rest of us.
The Vikings may have been initially down to an intro tune, but now it seems to be more indicative of NO fans who are are footie fans and have the urge to see NO live whenever and wherever they may play...
I suggested an alternative identity for those of us who are more 'leftfield', but the Vikings (all the people I expected, unsuprisingly) are very unhappy about it.
My initial name was Alumni; which is a bit poncy I s'ppose, so maybe 'The Spotters' would've been better (After Barney said the fans fall into two groups; football fans and spotty students).
Anyway, no-one is interested, so thats the end of that!

Er, as opposed to those 'fans' who can't be arsed to see them, even when they play their own home town?! ![]()

I've been 'arsed' to see them twice in 'my home town' and thats enough for me UNLESS I CAN GET FRONT ROW TICKETS.
Bloody hell- what's so wrong with that?

Well, ebay appears to be showing tickets in Row 9 - but I take it even that's too far back for you?!
Just how bad is your eyesight, Craig?!

Whoa! ha! ha! Someone call the surgeon; my sides have split open!
Nice small venue, the vikings as a preamble to who knows what, a classic gig or a shambles, memories. What the fuck is the rest of this thread about?
