Officially, vini played guitar on Viva Hate and the various B sides from that era. However, Vini himself claims that, with the exception of suedehead, he, not stephen street wrote all the music as well. I think he has a point, songs like Alsatian Cousin and Late Night Maudlin Street have clear vini influences. Although both Vini and Street claim to have written the songs from that time, i suppose only they themselves truly know.

Frankly, Mr. Shankly There is a light that never goes out (what is wrong with this song?) This Charming Man.
Bigmouth strikes again would be a close third, though.

It was a real struggle not to include Queen is Dead and Bigmouth on my original list. I've heard a little of the debut and all of Meat Is Murder, and I consider QID their best track-by-track album. Damn near perfect (and who hasn't felt like blasting "Frankly Mr. Shankly" after a shit day at work?)

He has certainly claimed this, but in a letter to Q Magazine, Stephen Street refuted these claims, saying he only played guitar (or something like that.)Whatever, Street is adament this is the truth.

But theres no denying the fact that Vini had massive input on songs like Late Night Maudlin Street is there?
Quite liked a lot of their singles and various tracks, but they had some that grated on me (never cared much for William and Heaven as singles)
