I was sittin' in Petco Park, watching my sorry excuse for a nat.west champ team play a game, and suddenly BLUE MONDAY comes blairing through the speakers while the sides were switching and they were showing highlights on the big screen. it didn't seem to fit at all...

do they use BM at other sporting events around the globe to get people "fired up?" frankly, it is the one NO song i can not hear for another 10 years, and be fine with it...

yeah, i agree. it is shameful how well the west DIDN'T do this year.

i heard that the Pads have the worst division champ record in history! one less win than the previous title holders, THE METS!

1969 was the pivotal year for the Mets, as it would not only see them get to the World Series and win it but also have that serve as a backdrop for a shitty sci-fi time travel movie starring Dennis "The Poor Man's Randy" Quaid :p

Anyway, the west was definitely the "everything goes" league. Anytime a team like the Giants can threaten after spending so long in the basement is probably not somewhere you want to place last in

Maybe the disrespect is lighting a little fire under the ChiSox's asses, they walloped the Red Sox yesterday  (they could be the team to beat when all is said and done).

I hereby revise my "Series picks": Yankees or ChiSox versus Cards (Cards in four) :thumb:
