Just when you think a day can't get any worse, just had email to say my booking can't be accepted at the hotel I chose for Wednesday night. So back to the start. Now, London is a big place right? So why can't I find a hotel with 1 room in SE1???????

I hope you managed to get sorted out with a hotel. I think it's pretty much impossible to get something in the immediate area. We're staying in Covent Garden. I know it's the wrong side of the river but it's not too far afield (I hope!!!).

Thanks - I did manage to get one fairly near in the end. I hate using the tube at night, that's the main reason!! When I lived there I nearly fell down the escalator at Kings X and ever since then.............

You'd rather walk the backstreets of Southwark instead! :eek3:
