Got this in Liverpool yesterday. A little gem, but 'Hold On' goes on for ages.

Any thoughts?

While a good album, i saw him a couple of times on tour, and it was the depeche stuff that got the biggest reaction. Which isnt that surprising.

Did you see him at Move 2003?

i bought this for 1.99 in a music shop in barnsley, its ok.

It obviously fades in comparison to DM, but I like it. I'd be interested in another one.

Yep. But i was so pissed i'd be buggered if i remember much of it. Apollo as well later that year.

Could he cut it live without Martin and Andy?

Well he coped easily without fletch, but then again, if he struggled without him there wouldnt really be much point now would there? Martin is a bit different. I really liked Know Chandlers playing but the Depeche Songs suffered without Martin Gore. Especially Personal Jesus.

Couldn't get the parts right to Personal Jesus, could he?

I have this album, but I think it's crap. There are some good songs, like "Black and Blue Again" and "Dirty Sticky Floors", but I don't like the whole album itself. On the other hand, I can tolerate this album than Exciter.

Gahan says in the interviews on the 101 DVD that he had to make this album for himself, to basically impress Martin Gore. It was an alright attempt in my opinion, but Gahan's strengths are as a singer, not a song writer.

I think he's a really good lyricist,on a power with Gore anyway.
