Remember when you were young (15 or so) and your parents told you that you looked like shit in your clothes?
I mean, if you were a synthrocker, hardrocker or a punkrocker or anything like that.
And you said to yourself "I will never treat my kids like that. I will always be young at heart".
And now, with 3 kids. A daughter aged 15 who likes to look like a punkrocker and a goth at the same time.
And my son, aged 10, wearing my big shirts, having earings in both ears (so do I) and lots of leatherbands round his wrists.
And I can't keep my mouth shut, I just have to tell them how ridiculous they look.
Is this because I'm turning in to 40 soon? Or have I totally forgotten how my youth was?
Getting older isn't that fun, I just realized.
