Just discovered my local supermarket is closing down, and currently no other chain wants to buy the site. I shall have to start training now for a 3 mile hike with rucksack everytime I want to go shopping. Least I'll get fit.
All lost in the supermarket - I can no longer shop happily

I walk everywhere. There are several stores nearby, though, so it's not too long a haul. Still, I walk a few miles twice a week to go to the farmers market for produce (meat and cheese their as well, for those who want it). Sometimes stop off at the downtown Safeway (a few miles from home) if there's something on sale.

It wouldn't happen to be a Winn-Dixie, would it? ![]()
There are rumors that my old store may be bought up by a chain that was looking at the site before they shut down. Which is great, considering that all the fixtures were sold off over the past month or so ![]()
Lovely Clash quote :) and I thought that the USA was the 'land of plenty' - there are around seven supermarkets within walking distance of my house, 22 off-licences (liquor stores) and numerous pubs. Start yer own micro-brewery mate ![]()
