How many do you have, and what do you pay for them every month?
We have 53, and pay $35, or €30 every month.

i have roughly 70 channels (basic cable) and pay just over $45/month for it. i used to have digital cable, which has over 300 channels, but i couldn't afford it (just over $70/month). so when i moved last week i switched to basic cable.
Ours is a Freeview house, no charge - just the cost of a set-top box, which could be as low as £40. Oh, and the yearly TV licence fee (£126.50, which you have to pay anyway if you own a TV in the UK)
You get these TV channels and these radio channels.
... more than I can handle...
The numeric terminal has around 200 channels, but I don't get them all obviously, I probably get around 50 of them and I do pay 45$/month that includes the movie channels and "on-demand" movies.
And I probably only watch 10 channels or so, mostly the french ones.
With our satellite dish we get "millions" of channels in all know and unknown languages... For public TV and radio you have to pay 17 Euro in germany. We have pay-TV in addition (Premiere (www.premiere.de) ) that is about 40 Euro monthly (7 movie channels, Sport channels, Series Channels, Discovery Channel etc. pp. (about 24 channels I guess, without commercial breaks (therefore you pay the money)). I think I have registered about 65 channels on our reciever.

So that was basic cable I had in my hotel room in Florida?
Damn it... I just can't believe the amount of crap channels you have over there :D
Our deal includes 10 movie channel. Mostly shit films though, but some good ones.
And 5 sport channels, including Eurosport.
And lots on BBC and adventure ones.
1 adult channel 
And 2 Disney channels, and 3 or 4 other kids channels.
The rest are swedish channels.
We also have 20 radio channels with music, and MTV, VH1.
And we also pay every month to the goverment for having a TV. Sick, in my eyes, but swedish public channels don't have comersials. And they are the best ones.
We pay €200 a year for that.
TV licenses are a scam. We don't have them here and I really detested paying it when I was in the UK.
We have 3 FTA commercial channels in Aus plus 2 government run channels. They all also have a free digital version if you have a set-top box.
That's enough crap for me, there's the usual swag of satellite channels if you want to throw money at them. The only thing I really miss is the English Premier League which is now strictly FoxSports only.

I'd pay to avoid those damned commercials.
I rented a digital box with a digital vcr, so I now record the shows to be able to skip the damned ads.
But we're lucky, in Canada, commercial break is 2 mins.. on some channels in the US, it goes on for 5 mins!!

I wouldn't mind paying for the BBC since the quality level is (usually) higher than the stuff that gets shown on tv in the states. Just don't bother with it mid afternoon, how many home related programmes can they come up with? Though paying for the other commercial stations seems a rip off.
When I was in the states I had my cable shut off, didn't see the point in paying 45 bucks a month for something I hardly ever watched.
Over here I just go over to my friends to watch sky :p

Last year, the most powerful man in French TV-media said something like : "Our goal is to entertain the audience with shallow contents in order to sell empty and receptive brains to the annoncers and make plenty of money with commercial breaks".
And moreover, TV fee is included in taxes now... what a wonderful world !
Over 150 channels for sure, haven't really counted. Paying about 75 dollars a month. Fox News is certainly the least watched channel in this household.

Yep.
Dunno if it's the same company as in France though.
Roughly 98 digital cable channels for €35 per month; 4 Sky Sports channels for another €23 per month. I reckon I might watch about half a dozen with any regularity.
70+ channels basic cable + internet $50 per month
MTV least watched channel, well, home shopping channels not viewed intentially either. Kids usually hijack tv to Cartoon Network, Nic or Disney anyway.
Just the basic 5 free to air channels. Pay TV here has some good stuff on it sometimes; ie sport, but most of it really is only repeats of what's on the other channels.
we get about 70 channels and pay about $40/month (canada..apparently that's only about 34USD right now! wow..) I don't watch much tv tho..just ER on thursday nights, and some movies that happen to be on during the weekends..some weeknights
