£24.99, for a 2 meg ADSL service. In reality that's about 220KBs down and 32KBs up. No download limit, 25Mb of webspace and a fixed IP address.

I pay the equivalent of US$ 49 for an ADSL service, 750 kbps download and 128 kbps upload. Note that's kilo bit per second, not kilo byte per second. The bandwidth is limited to 15 GB per month, but if I exceed this value they don't actually charge anything. Ah, I have to pay another US$ 9 to an ISP. Internet services in Brazil are shit and expensive.

No limit for downloads.

60$ CDN per month for the highest speed cable modem without any ratio.
It's a lot of money, but I have a 10$ rebate because I'm getting cable as well, and another 10$ of rebate because I have a 1 year contract.
I have a 6.5 Mbps download rate and a 900 Kbps upload rate.
60$ CDN = 50$ USD
It's way too expensive I must say... but it doesn't have any bandwidth limit, so it's worth it.

Dial-up costs next to nothing these days. How the hell are you paying $49p/m for what, 56k? Does the plan include free peering to the Alba Ring?

You are confusing bit with byte. If you take the kbps and divide it by 8, then you will have kiloBYTES per second. 600 kbps = 75 kBbps. That's the theoretical maximum speed, of course.
Bits / bytes / bollocks. One thing is for sure sure, you CAN count up to 1024 using just your ten fingers...

Seriously, I would recomend UKOnline to anyone I liked. Telephone support is first class (and a freephoine line is included in the price), they paid me a full month when my router broke and I lost service for a couple of weeks and they've never gone down on me.
£24.99 for Virgin Broadband. 2mb? something like that; it's fast though. Upgraded twice in a year for nothing. Free email addresses etc etc. Means not a lot to I, I just need the thing to work fast, and properly. Unlimited down,up whatever.....

Quite right, don't buy UKOnline - they promise you the world and then take you for a ride.
$ 20 / month for wireless. Very fast. Can watch online movies and listen to songs almost straight away :)
Forty dollars a month for broadband, plenty fast for all that I need it for (don't know actual rates though) plus the usual space for pics.
