One of my clients bought 151 Dell computers 6 months ago.
Now, of those 151, all of them need new motherboards. Factory fault or something.
And they have to change Harddisks on more that 70 of them. The harddisks have crashed.
Anyone wants a Dell?

what do you expect, everything in computers is made in Great China, without enough quality control, its just business.
I had Dell computers and never had any trouble with them, except my wife's computer and a tech came and changed the full board for free.
I changed mine because I was stuck with RAMBUS memory that was more expensive than a new computer, so the choice was easy...
RAMBUS, yikes.
I have a Dell, pretty uncool, but I've modded it a fair bit over time.
Had no problems with it at all.

Having watched much of post-season baseball, I feel assaulted by the various airings of Dell's new "talk show" commercial for their big new huge plasma screen TV. Starring professional tan George Hamilton having a fit over the TV. 
So I feel like this is poetic justice :p
Dell batch build so if you buy a big load of em all in one go then you are asking for trouble. I bought 200 of them and we binned them after 2 years cos they were so unreliable. We just wrote them off and bought Compaq.
My company just wrote IBM off and concluded an agreement with Dell. Our IBM PC's were great. never had any trouble with them. The only issue was the price, apparently. I fear the future.
By the way: our 15"-screen IBM laptops will be replaced by 14"-screen Dell laptop's. And I'm supposed to make good technical work (with Simulink, for those who know it) with that. F**k them all!
