Kraftwerk DVD delay — Forum Archive

The Kraftwerk “Minimum-Maximum” DVD has been put back until December. On the plus side, it seems like it will be released with a book, and some other stuff.

That’s 3 times it’s been put back. It was originally meant to come out with the CD, and then it was meant to come out in September, then October. Pretty frustrating, because they are by far and away the best live group going, and right at the top of their game at the moment. The live CD has been on almost constant rotation in my player since the mid summer, along with the mix.

Still, its nice to see a bunch of old men thinking about what they are doing, craftily remaining songs live, playing reasonably small – sonically sharp venues and not releasing 5 retrospectives in 2 months.

Well... The DVD will be a nice christmas present for oneself then... :)

At last it appears on Amazon.de now. As UK import(?). I pre-ordered it now... If there's a german release I can still cancel that pre-order.

Sadly, I don't think it's gonna be 'live' though now, ist it?

It's just going to be live performances, but with the Minimum-Maxiumum soundtrack synched over the top.

Aww I've been going on the official Kraftwerk site looking for a release date for that,and Amazon.Blankwerks website's got some unofficial DVD's but they don't have MUSIQUE NON STOP on the end,which is worth the price of the official one alone. :banghead:

The same way Minimum-Maximum was a "live" selection of sorts, rather than 1 recording. The important part is you get to hear all the updated tunes, in near sonic perfection.

The same with the DVD. An entire 2 hours of 4 blokes (and I say "blokes" in as loose a manner possible) standing up,albiet with smashing visuals, wouldn't do much, so they have been inventive.

Check out the Preview at the bottom right hand side of this page. It looks fantastic.....

Ive read Pascal Bussy and Wolfgang the compulsive wanker at this stage. Havent been able to find any more reading to be done on them. Any ideas?

Also: Anyone know any Kraftwerk forums?

Not sure what you mean - as far as I know the footage mirrors Min / Max, ie the DVD has clips from all the different venues.

Are you saying it's film from just one venue?

That would be a bit pants.

On the Astralwerks' page, the sample vids appears to be different venues.

Of course, whether the audio was recorded in situ is another thing.

No. Both Audio and Video were shot in various locations.

Dont know why it's not shown on the tracklisting on the site, but on the unnoficial Miami DVD it does have Musique Non Stop - ill have to change the listing later on. Not sure why I missed that off!

Ordered the special edition CD/DVD/88 Page Hardback Book in Laptop style digipack from our old friends HMV.£39.99 .Amazon are advertising it for £49.Anybody know anywhere doing it cheaper than HMV?.I 'll cancel the order if there is.
