Well, it did inspire this just now (warning: Trevor is about force more of his bizarre bad writing on the forum. Look away, if you don't want to be hurt) :p
THE NEWS FROM CRYSTAL LAKE
Trevor Seigler

Dear Mom and Dad,
I got to camp just fine today, and am unpacked and settled in my cabin here on the edge of Crystal Lake. The trip up was kinda weird, some old drunk guy kept telling us that the camp was "evil" and some horny teenagers kept getting killed everytime they went. I don't know what to think about that, but Mr. Jones says it's nothing to worry about, and to keep my focus on the cheap leather pants we're supposed to be working on in Crafts. My roommate Bernie is a really funny guy, he and his girlfriend Sheila have been waiting to come here all year so they could "skinny-dip". I hope I don't get them in trouble for mentioning it here. Anyway, things are great, I'm just about ready to go to supper. Then we'll gather around the fire and Mr. Jones will tell us all about some guy that died here a while back. I think he wants to do it to warn us against drowning.
Best love and wishes,
Todd

Dear Mom and Dad,
Boy, things sure got weird when Tony's body was discovered earlier today! He had a big cut on his throat, like it had been cut with a big knife or something. I think everyone was scared, but Mr. Jones assured us everything is under control. The local cops came up, but they're not sure who could've done it. I would tell you more about all the blood and stuff, but I'm trying to forget about it. Good news, though! I met a girl, her name is Polly and she's really nice. You'd like her, she's a counciler and likes to help me especially when we're in Crafts. Man, she is pretty. I hope she says yes to going to the camp's endtime dance! Oh, and that drunk old guy I told you about last time, he came by camp again and kept yelling about some guy who is supposed to kill us all. I don't know what drugs he's on, but I'll be sure not to try them...not that I'm doing drugs up here anyway. Oops, there goes the phone, gotta wrap this up, bye and love

Dear Mom and Dad,
Please tell me that you've hear on the news about what's going on up here! First off, Stanley (the guy in the wheelchair) had his head completely cut off a few nights ago! I mean, it's gone! Not there anymore! And what's more, Mrs. Frances from the Swim Team and Andy (the life guard) were making out in the barn last night, and Andy's split in half and they're still trying to find Mrs. Frances's...oh man, I can't even type it, it's too horrible to mention. Polly's really scared, and I try to make her feel better, but just today one of the other kids came back with the old drunk's left arm. He says the rest is scattered out in the woods. I'm scared now, please send help or a way to get out of here!
Your terrified son,
Todd

Dear Mom and Dad,
Well, it's been a couple of days since I last wrote, and things have only gone from bad to worse. Bernie and Sheila were in her cabin last night (I had my room to myself, and Polly and I barricaded ourselves in with some old furniture), and they both got an axe to the forehead. I'll really miss him, he was awesome especially when he was making fun of the old drunk. Oh, and Mr. Jones has gone missing, though I think somebody found part of his ear...I'm really afraid to look out the window after dark, I don't know what I'll wake up to the next morning. If I wake up at all. I don't want to frighten you, but then again I haven't slept in forty-eight hours and things are a bit weird right now.
Please come and get me,
Todd
PS - I never got those chocolate chip cookies, Mom. Are you sure you sent them?

Dear Mom and Dad,
WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!!!! I hate to be upsetting you, but there's at least twenty dead people up here and I don't know how many more will survive the night. Tomorrow's supposed to be the last day of camp, but I think no one wants to risk going through the woods alone even in daytime. That's when they got Polly...oh, did I mention Polly got an arrow through her throat? Yeah, and in her chest, and in her arms (those held her there while the other ones struck, I guess). This was just after we finally "did it"...yes, Mom, I'm sorry, but I'm not a little boy anymore. It would be nicer if she'd survived to this morning, but she *had* to go back for her damn crossbow (she was the camp's best archer. I suppose that would be ironic if it weren't terrifying). So I'm alone, except for a few survivors, and we're hunkered down in the main house now, unsure if the mysterious killer who has terrorized us all is still out there, lurking....
Todd
PS - Ryan from the gym stole my cookies when they arrived, Mom. It's okay, apparently he got a butcher knife through the groin. From the killer, of course, not me.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Last night was awful. First, there was a sudden summer storm that washed out the roads to and from the camp. Then the phone lines were cut, and the power went out. Mark (the guy I told you about who had a bright future ahead of him) was ripped out of the front window, but the good news is he put up enough of a fight for us to get a look at the killer! This guy was big, with an old hockey mask on, and just before he sliced Mark's intestines out with a cleaver we were able to make our way out into the night and seek shelter on the dock. This guy came towards me and Holly (the only female camper left, and me and Mark up til then the only men around), but I was able to distract him by taking a machete blade to the abdomen long enough for Holly to light the bastard on fire. He moaned and yelled a bit (I think he may have been a foreigner), and then just sunk into the lake. Which is kinda anticlimatic, when you think about it. Dude kills off thirty people in a week or two, and you'd think he'd have to be ripped from limb to limb or seperated from his head. But no, he just went in the lake. I'm in the hospital now, and Holly is beside me (we're going steady, by the way. I'm all like "Polly who?"), and the nurse is walking in to feed me. The doc says I should be fine...hmm, that nurse looks awfully familiar. Anyway, I'm sure it's nothing.
Here's to a great rest-of-the-summer, after some grief counceling!
Todd
PS - Mom, Dad...I don't think we'll be coming home anytime soon.......
