Echo & the Bunneymen

I'd be interested in hearing opinions about their UK gigs if any of you there are attending any of them.

Get them on a good day and it will be one ofthe best gig's you'll see but get them on a bad day and you might as well go home after the opening song.

Some classics come out each gig though.

I'm quite partial to some Bunnymen now and again:)

going to their home town gig in Liverpool on Fri 16th December. Sold Out now. extra date the next night. same venue as Killing Joke & the Fall - the Carling Academy - so should be good. 5 minutes in a cab from mine. even better. (beats all this up, down and all around the country & hotel shit for new order)

Im off to Leeds on Friday so shall gen you up later- new cd is worth a pop though -5 top quality songs on i reckon

Never seen em live.But Ocean Rain is one of my all time fave albums.

Last one of theirs i bought was What Are You Going To Do With Your Life? in 1999.A few goodish tunes on that one.

LE, I don't know if this counts but I saw them in 1998 and they were well worth a few sacks of 'taters, for sure.

I dropped the $20 to see them here on Nov. 30th. It's at a 1,000-person capacity club downtown - just a stone's throw from the Egyptian Theater. Looking forward to it.

Anybody listened to Siberia yet? Expecting it to be like all of their other albums after their "comeback", with a few good tunes and a couple of dull ones. That said, the live show on the Evergreen tour was great, a nice mixture of everything from their catalog.

Depends if Mac has things up his nose or not.

Saw them last night in Leeds, Blank Canvas Good points: saw 4 New order t-shirts, pa system played 'Glass' by Joy Division 5 mins before they came on. Bad points: Shitty venue,saw a 'mullet',to many birds who complained if they got bumped into in the mosh area @front

There was a story in saturdays paper Saturdays paper The headline was "Rock Star charged after Glasgow Gig" Apparently Mr Ian McUlloch was charged with assault after the Gig he played in Glasgow. So if your going to any of the other gis just be careful.

Went to Academy last night. Didn't think they were too bad, although the crowd wasn't particularly large and seemed a bit flat. the 'pool gigs are definitley better as thewr always seems more hardcore there..

Saw them on Sunday at Brum Academy. First time I've seen them and fairly impressed. Very tight performance. They played and went, two encores. Unfortunately the venue was only half full.
