So this will be of little interest to most, well, unless you've played through most of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

You get ordered out on this mission into the Nevada desert to pick up two stoner musos who've spent the night washing acid tabs down with peyote and are very.. messy. One of them (Maccer) is a classic early 90s' Madchester stoner, with his bucket hat, baggy jeans, etc. And his accent is spot on. When you drive him back to civilisation he makes all sorts of wastoid quips. You drive past a rundown townsite and he asks: "Are we back in Salford?"

Small NO-related fare but comes along really unexpectedly in a game like this.

If you watch closely later, as you're talking to his boss in the casino you can make him out in the background, tripped out and having a tug until his band mate ushers him away.

But you really had to be there.

Shaun Ryder did some of the vocals for GTA:SA I believe... so it may be his dulcet tones...

The similarities are there for sure. Good call.

It's a crack-up, I tells yer.

I know I've heard the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Penn, James Woods and Ice T in there too.

I bet LE is hotly anticipating GTA: Idaho too.

Expect a wide variety of missions trucking different denominations of potatoes around the state and daredevil ferrying of passengers in coaches to the Discovery Centre.

If you can make the 500 yard jump over the cornfields in a harvester, you'll own the damn town.

I'm waiting for GTA: Baghdad next year, which will make Bush's case that the Iraqis really want freedom...freedom to steal cars :evil4:
