I'm new around here and was wondering if there are any other car geeks on the board.
I belong to a Mazda Protege enthusiast club called TOProtege.com (the address is www.toprotege.net). I own a 1998 sedan and a 2002 Protege 5. We have lots of members and our last big event was a cruise I organized. Check out the highlights:

Yeh!, i had my first crash in capri when the back end just went outin the we - right smash up -but luckily the strut brace saved me!
Well I love cars, but can't afford something crazy. I use to go to car-exhibitions and drag racing regularly. My dream car is a blue Dodge Viper GTS with white double stripes.
i drive a silver S40 Volvo.
low maintenance, and not bad on the juice, but everyone in my terraced house street reckons it looks like a busies (the plod) car.
and it got fuckin floured up on halloween, which i still aint washed off properly yet.

blame me German teacher then - Miss Birkmann. the torture we had learnin that Nena song - - in German. She cried in class as well, because we were a nightmare to teach. Hope she got over it - the lovely Miss B.

apart from the mullets, denim jackets (with the arms cut off) full of badges and mad moustaches. i.e Borussia Moenchengladbach fans.
wouldn't have done German in school if i didn't like it, now would i Stimpy (or is it Ren?). mind you the only other choice was Art or French.

Ah yes.My daily ride 1981 diesel VW rabbit.Also drive a No. America only 912E Porsche,recently bought a 1974 914 needing some work,have several 924s too.And a 4x4 Chevy S-10 Blazer [piece of junk]Also like the 1993-95 mazda RX-7.I really don't like to drive.But a 1981 924 GT Carrera,or a copy would be my dream as they ran well in Lemans in '81,and use the same engine block as the US postal van,AMC mail wagons.All the newer cars are not owner serviceable and I hate getting ripped off by mechanics,thats why I do all my own work.

I used to be a car geek. British & Italian sports cars. Owned a few Triumphs, an Austin Healey Sprite, an Alfa Romeo Spider. Probably still am a car geek, but now, with global warming, I just can't feel the same enthusiasm. Now give me a cool diesel and you'll catch my interest. 2007 looks to be a very interesting year.
