A depressing series of roundabouts links an A road. Surrounding the road is a dismal mid 1970s shopping centre from the fuck you school of architecture. The only saving race of this windowless concrete block is that that is melts into the slate grey skies that Corby always seems to have and almost disappears. Along the A road is a sprawl of Eastern European looking housing estates.

Corby still makes steel but not as much as it used to. A few years back British Steel conned a lot Scots from Ravenscraig to come down and make steel as their own works were to be closed. This was another false dawn and with their resulting redundancy money many set up taxicab firms presumably specialising on finding ways out of Corby. Thus you see no buses. And you are constantly being cut up by other drivers.

Don't blame me, i found it here www.idler.co.uk, and try looking up ilkeston

Kettering :

A fairly large town complete with several thousand inbreds, they have a lovely rural accent and end most sentences with ducky, ie "That'll be three pounds fifty ducky" another example would be calling friends of all ages "old boy" this one is hard to believe unless you venture into Kettering itself. Shagging sheep is fairly common here, hence their popular nickname "Sheepshaggers" from their local neighbours Corby. Kettering has just been boosted by the arrival of a fat (but now slim), overrated wifebeating alcoholic as their football manager called Paul Gascoigne, he was an England legend and has attracted many more local football hooligans to the club's attendance figures. There aren't too many local roundabouts unlike Corby or as many factories, but the houses are all built on hills next to fields with a lot of sheep.....who are widely abused after a locals night out. Kettering's motto is "Sheepius shaggius if you cannae pullius"

Corby

"Oh my Oh my. . . . You really all have made such good points about all of your towns and the unfortunate chav scum that dwell in them. I must introduce you to the town of Corby. Corby is filled with Plastic Jocks. Corby HAD a thriving steel industry and WAS a very hard working place, Scottish people came down to WORK with the steel production. However Corby Steel had been shut for nearly 20 years. . . Instead of these people going back to where they came from they have spawned in Corby thus producing the chav! They are all teenage scum hanging round the likes of Mc Donalds, town centre, normal haunts! HOWEVER they can be seen most of all in Kettering, yes the town up the road making it llok like chavvy capital -fcuk off back to your own sh!t pit! Corby also bred the first generation chav - great game in Kettering on a weekend night - spot the corbyite! Been played for years, commonly now called spot the chav, I mean corbyite, I mean chav. . .

You can see first generation chavs TRYING to fight the Kettering central Doorstaff! ! ! Do your selves a favour guys, go home to your council scum areas to your underage wives/girlfriends/sluts and millions of kids. . . ."

chavs_r_us _WRITES "If it isn't an evil, ugly looking chav with red hair and a celtic top wearing their bling bling and denting your poor "grunger" face with their "bad ass blinging rings innit" it's a broken bottle in the face. perhaps if you're lucky, it'll be a quick stabbing with a flash knife in the gut with the content "death to dirt grungers" scrawled across the blade, well at leat it isn't going to damage our pretty faces. Corby- a chav's palace, the greatest shops known to man kind: Poundland, argos, fish and chip shops and don't forget the kebabs. Shops fit for a King. If the chavvies aren't making our (alternatives) lives hell, they're taunting the OAP's that pass by. It's odd how scary a ginger headed/freckled 10 year old with a ciggie hanging out his mouth can truly be. However the scariest part of all is how many pregnant 14 year olds patrol the town centre with their handsome bumps produding from their little crop tops. Ah yes, Corby, I have to say I am proud that we as a community have produced one thing, the aid in making Northamptonshire have the highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe. Outstanding, now that takes a lot of hard work, ass and shagging. What can be better than having a filthy town centre full of tat shops, the highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe, the worst areas to live in the County, numerous amounts of stabbing, numourous amounts of attacks forced upon us "alternatives" and a general shit hole?? The chavvies/etes that fill it. I bid you goodnight. ;)"

Walhalla has just been boosted by the arrival of a fat (but now slim), overrated wifebeating alcoholic as their racetrack manager called Jimmy Ray Joe Bob, nobody's sober enough to remember his last name, he was a NASCAR legend and has attracted many more local NASCAR hooligans to the track's attendance figures. Sounds a lot like Kettering. I wonder if they're sister cities?
