If you had to choose one for the rest of your life, which would it be?

It's the ultimate poll question, I think (other than "what did Rocket Mick have for dinner?" :p ).

Let's say you are faced with the problem of having to choose between love or sex, for the rest of your life:

If you choose to have love, you can have the most amazing relationship with someone, but you can't :sex:

If you choose :sex: , you get plenty of it, up until the day you die. But no feelings are involved :nonono:

Of course, the chances of this type of choice coming up are slim, but indulge me. It'll either be loads of fun or cripplingly depressing. Either way, I up my topic post count! :thumb:

So anyway...if you had to choose? :skeptic:

I know I don't want lots of meaningless sex with no love, but I'm not sure I'd want the amazing relationship with no sex either. :confused2:

Sounds like something Satan cooked up... :evil3:

unfair premise.

I've never had either. So can there be a third option for those of us who will probably have neither sex nor love?

I cannot imagine having loads of sex without any of it ever involving the least bit of love. How horribly depressing. I immediately am drawn to the great relationship option but not EVER being able to have sex would be absolutely horrible. I mean, it's a physical need.

I am being idealistic here, but I will take the love but no sex option.

fortunately I've not such a dilema, I have got both, lucky me hehehe:)

Since sex is usually something that you do a lot less once you get older, I'd pick lover over it.

But I admit, I prefer to have a balance somewhere.

Plus, I once had a really REALLY intense relationship that lead me into the wall when it was over and took a long time to recover.. so TOO MUCH love is not always a good thing.. at least for me!

I always take too long to recover.

I had lots of sex in my life, without love.

And now I had real love for 13 years, with lots of sex.

I pick love!

well i pickked love because if it really does exist then no contest. But I'm not sure that it does, at least for me...

As I'm not getting either love or sex at the moment, can I choose beer instead?

OK, so it's not an option...

It is. I think the female NUS card holding population of this country should be warned.

No fucking hang ups? That's because they haven't lived yet. Wait until they get to their thirties - they'll be as fucking old and as grumpy as me.

I have no shame, and that's exactly what they like. The young and the old they get everything, now it's my turn....

Seeing as I'm a hopless romantic, in answering my own question I'd have to say I'd probably go for love over sex...provided, of course, that sex is in the deal :p

And by "hopless romantic", I mean "utterly, completely hopeless" :D

Well, there's the popular interpretation of "hopeless romantic" meaning "desirous of love". Then there's my version: couldn't get any if it bit him in the ass :p

(which is a turn-on, btw. Take note, ladies)
