Do you steal from work?

i don't steal stuff as such, i just eat alot of stuff that i shouldn't, such as chocolate, but its not just me we all do it where i work.
No. I have taken a lot of pens home over the years...accidentally. When the pile gets big enough, I gather 'em all up and return 'em.
hardly ever the stuff at work isn't worth stealing. plus there could be nasty consequences. I may accidently end up with a pen in my pocket every now and again though.

I know. Edited now.
Sorry, and carry on..................
It's not so much "stealing" as "grazing"...which means eating stuff you ain't paid for. I do it occasionally, but most of the time if I do I'll go ahead and pay for it at some point during the consumption (mostly sodas). ![]()
Now that I've written this, I expect to be handed my walking papers in the morning :p
Not exactly. Sometimes our vendors will send an extra box of something that's not on the invoice, but we won't catch cause of the 16 or so pallets of ours that are in the semi-truck. We can't see everything on every board, especially if the board is a collection of many, many things. If we catch something right away, then we'll notify them, but if upon checking the computer inventory numbers a couple of weeks later that there are extra boxes of something (say like pizza stix or philly cheese readi-steaks), then that box of product will be split up; we're on top of our game at our end, they should be as well up there.
We get tons of samples as well, and then of course lots of customers like to feed us cause we're a service-oriented company, and we do that job extremely well; obviously the rule to never turn down free food has served me well (saves money on the budget as well).
Oh yeah, packaging fiascos fit in as well, specifically the egg company; the worst sound of the world is lifting a box of 15 dozen eggs by the top, and finding out a little too late that there is no tape on the bottom of the box; the scrape of cardboard on cardboard, followed by the smashing of a dozen or so eggs, always annoys me. So this week, everybody got at least a dozen eggs to take home, and various relatives will get the rest (the egg company will just give us a credit, they're used to this happening by now)
Yes. I'm supposed to pay if I want a bottle of soda or water, but I seldom did. When I worked at Dairy Queen, I'd often make myself Blizzards and shakes but rarely paid for them, unless the assitant manager was there.
AA Duracell Batteries for the remote control(s).
that's all.
Don't steal anymore since my Dad battered me for nickin a mars bar from a shop in Spain in 1980. a lesson learnt. (except when it comes to batteries)

No. But I buy stuff for my company, that I take home. Like toilet paper, pens etc. A TV 2 years ago. A DVD-player etc.
And I don't have to pay tax for it, because it goes through my company.

LOL, no truth in that stuff bout you b'mena men being mean fookers at all then is there :)
I nicked a keyboard from work, and replaced it with my own(which was better but didn;t feel as nice) one the next night :)
We also did a few sweep and clears......the systems went down and they told us to clean the place. we were of course not at all thrilled by this. However, the company manual clearly states that NO personal items are to be on desks at any time. So we just binned the lot(fluffy charity mascots, pictures of kids, the lot), skimming the more interesting items for ourselves. Nect morning there was much wailing and nashing of teeth, and we didn't get asked to clean again. I always find that if you have to deal with people who like to boss you aruond with their rules, you learn the rules, and even if it doesn't do you any actual good, you can drive the fuckers insane with logical reasons why they can't get you to do X or Y, and keep it going so long that by the time you get bored and decide to do whatever it is, there's only 5 mins left to do it, AND the sight of my innocent lookin face peering quizicaaly at our despised leader and emitting some pish like " but I can't go over to that side of the building, it's a differnt area of the site and as such I would be in violation of company health and safety policy being tere without a first aider or fire marshal, double so since I would be totally along in that area, and I'd hate to get sacked, if you wuold just sign a waiver I'll be more than happy"....is almost 100% certain to bring the place to a standstill of barely supressed laughter.
I need a hobby, or at very least to get this gig over and done with, so I can stop ranting every 5 mins on NOOL :)

Your time is YOUR time. And this Pension crisis looming in Britain is fucking devasting if,for example, you had your eye on retiring while you can still go to the toilet on your fuckin own..If you have something better to do, work is theft.Time out of your short as fuck life(ok so you pimp/hire your time out for filthy lucra or baccy)But there has to be a better solution than the cuntish one outlined as a solution by the G'oment.I've never nicked owt from work, ,its just that its a bit messy smuggling steel columns and beams out under your arm..and there is nowt else, tho some scruffy cunts, like my brother always have works bog roll next to their home lavatories, the scruffy tealeafing scunning juntas![]()

I asked for a floppy disc on friday and told them they wouldn't be getting it back. I don't yet have the internet at home.
If considering going on the net on sites you shouldn't, then I'm guilty of time stealing...
Worst part is, they could find out :p
But seriously, I usually do it when I'm on a break, and obviously when I'm not busy.
I was waiting on you saying "I been using your donations to finance my cocaine habbit while secretly hosting NOOL on a 486DX2 running slackware. ;)

Since I have a long and glamorous career in food service-esque places (convienience stores, a Subway, on-campus convienience store, movie theatres), I have appropriated large amounts of sodas, candy, popcorn, snacks, etc. (It's a miracle I'm only at 200LBS!)
My fave time...working on-campus at this "Corner Store", stocking the beverage cooler...it was rather large and would spend hours in there...drank approx. 5-6 cans per shift of Mountain Dew AMP, Red Bull, Frappachino....went back to my dorm wired like I was on the yayo. ![]()
