You know, you're going along, having a great day. Or a decent day, at the least. Then...:nervous:

You hear that Arrested Development has been cancelled :banghead:

I choose not to put a link up about it, because I refuse to believe it. But it is so, the world of "Nanny 911", "Lost", and "Chuck Woolery Must've Made A Pact With the Devil" wins over the world of quality programming. Please excuse what follows, I know that it will offend many of you with more sensitive natures.....

Fuck shit dammit motherfucking Fox goddam asshole shithead dicks assgrabbing teabagging jackass cocksuckers whore-killing fucking twats fucking abortions in business suits "Futurama"-cancelling motherfuckers

Okay, I've vented enough for now :banghead: :banghead:

Enough with this wishy-washy beating around the bush, Tabsy-- tell us how you really feel!

I blame Fox for moving the show to Monday nights. At first I thought it would be a good move, considering how AD often seemed to suffer "Simpsons fatigue" or were just too stupid to appreciate it...

I believe my exact words at the time were "I have a really good feeling about that guy in the red shirt" while watching Star Trek...

Then I remembered a little cultural institution known as...Monday Night Football. While normally that airs at 9-ish, it could still kill off AD. That, and Fox's insistance on running it into the ground :nonono:

More thoughts on this later, if I can be bothered to string together logical sentences in my posts (hey, it would be a first)

So how's Fox News doing?

I think they still call themselves "America's Newsroom", which might be accurate

I mean, considering how fucked-up and abnormally stupid most Americans are :p

I'm sorry, I'm still a little upset

Time to drag out an old chestnut from a great movie, one that applies to this situation:

We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

And I'm just the guy to do it...unless I get lazy

Oh dear, this is serious...still [orange]No[/orange] sign of Tabsy. I'm afraid he may do something drastic-- like go over to the dark side and join Hasselhoff to rule the universe. Or maybe get a girlfriend.

Naaahhh. :p

I'm too upset about AD to get horny looking for a girlfriend...

Or maybe I'm so upset about AD because I can't find a girlfriend

Maybe I should think before I type, and hit "submit"...nah! :D

I must admit that I forgot to watch it on Mondays, thou I doubt sincerly that I could make a difference. I thought the writing was a bit overated on the show, but it does have a good cast and is worth watching... really needs to be edgier but I guess Fox thinks that would confuse viewers even more

I never understand why networks spend so much time promoting and developing shows but then don't find some way to use a show that least gets some positive attention/response...? they are just going to replace it with a dozen overhyped shows that will disappear without a ripple every three months... hell, why don't they just show Simpsons reruns every night, I'd probably watch more often

I was actually somewhat glad that Futurama was cancelled before it could run out of ideas and drag on in a vaguely sad imitation of life *cough* Simpsons.

hey the Simpsons is still solid. granted it was a bit patchy a couple of years ago.

Yeah and my fave show, Dr Who is back after lying in a bloodstained mass for 17 years.

How many Dr Who fans does it take to change a lightbulb, none they just sit round and wait for the old one to come on again.

our ABC, which is more like the BBC than its american namesake has been showing all the surviving Dr Who episodes for the last couple of years. We are now in the 1984 Peter Davision episodes. We did also get the new ones on Sunday nights.

I lost track of "Futurama" after the first two seasons or so, when Fox began their usual "juggling the schedule to hide the shows entirely" routine. They did the same thing with the great X-Files offshoot "The Lone Gunmen", another show gone before its time. Since then, a lot of the Futurama episodes that I've seen on Adult Swim are new to me, and really great (in fact, about the only good thing on AS anymore, hint hint).

I think Fox was just looking for an excuse to air more "Rich Bitches Making Fun of Rural Folk" shows in AD's timeslot :nonono:
