shocked when i heard it last night. always one of the best entertainers, great on the mic and very funny. will have to watch Raw to see the tribute.

i read that they taped a 4 hour tribute to air later this week, honestly i havent watched Wrestling in years but its crazy how this happens so often.
my fav is still going although he has had his health troubles

I read mick foleys Book a few years ago and he was saying that quite a few of them are hooked on drugs, because its such a gruelling schedule and you hardly ever have a day off travelling everywhere.

Thats way before my time, i only got into wrestling in the early 90's just after wrestlemania 7 or 8 i used to watch it every week, i rememeber the big return of bob backlund in the late 90's he was rubbish.
You're kidding... Eddie Guerrero? What was it? Heart Attack? I saw him some weeks ago fighting on TV... :(
well i had to suffer wwe/wwf for 6 long yeaRS EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT,thanks to a wrestling nerd of a daughter.
eddie was always a favorite though,totally bonkers persona and not at all politicaly correct.
its a bloody shame that the guy has died so young,drugs or no drugs he helped to entertain millions and deserves a cloud in my book.
i just hope he goes to the catholic heaven as portrayed in the simpsons recently,hed fit in quite easily.

Wrestling is the male soap opera, but damn if it isn't fun to watch some times. My uncle used to watch it all the time back when I got back from my failed stint at USC (no, the other one), and I might tune in every now and then just to blow off steam.
Another good guy gone before his time. Seems all too common in the ring

I don't know about the tractor pull champ, but wrestling (WWE) is kind of poular here, too. I once was at a WCW event (feat. Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Steve Austin (little known then...) 'n other guys...
Eddie died of massive heart failure whilst brushing teeth in hotel. the examiner found signs of heart disease believed to be the result of his past problems with drugs and alcohol (i guess they can't mention steroids). Blood vessels were very worn and narrow amd he had an enlarged heart.

Well, even Arnold Schwarzenegger has heart troubles, and he didn't take steroids (he thinks)

Well, I know wrestling is US-anti-culture. Maybe it's was because I like sweating muscular men. Most of them are too muscular these days. I bet there are others getting heart attacks soon...

I'm sure there are more, and will be more in the future as well. Certain wrestlers are carrying a too much muscle for their frames. It will only result in more deaths.
After a few years WWE-viewing abstinence, I saw "Triple H" a few months ago... My god... What did this poor man do to his body? I think he is a hot candidate to follow Eddie. As well as Chris Benoit (whom I like very much)...

Oh shit... Big Boss Man? I didn't know about that. Davey Boy Smith was the "British Bulldog", wasn't he? I think Yokozuna was the victim of his weight in the end.
